Match Day Thread Saintsy Saints Vs The Spam - Sunday 16th October - 2pm

Edozie is back in training after his illness so presumably will be fit and ready for Sunday. He simply has to start for me, one of our only players that can beat a man and create a chance from nothing.

We were good against West Ham last year. Tonight they have had an easy time but it still distracts from Sunday's game. About half their first team playing tonight. Their defence looks slow and plays quite deep - just central as well for them that they have Rice.

Yes, let's throw in the towel before a ball is kicked. Looking at the teams they've played that run is hardly surprising. It's also worth pointing out 4 of those wins were at home.
Stating that it doesn't look good, when it really doesn't, isn't throwing in the towel. Not that it would make any difference.

Also, based on how we have been playing, I am pretty confident that if we had those same fixtures we would be more likely to have 6 losses from 7 than 6 wins.

I just think you're being over dramatic TBH. Villa was awful and we had 5 terrible minutes against Everton. Other than that we've played ok. We just need to be more clinical with our chances. Or get a bit of luck in front of goal. Sunday feels like one of those games where it will be really tight and one goal either way will decide it (cue a 9 goal madfest now!)

<laugh> At this point I’m pretty sure you’re Ralph’s alternate account

I'm looking forward to Sunday and eventually getting back to SMS. Looking forward to our singing and the feeling of a win at last!!

5 terrible mins Vs Everton? We were absolutely woeful for the first 45mins. Couldn’t keep hold of the ball for more than 2 passes

Yeah Tom has it backwards.

He’s making out like we are good most of the time with 1 or 2 bad games.

We’ve actually been the opposite. We’ve had 1 or 2 good games and over a calendar year of absolute dross.
