Neither Figureido or Greaves are bad players
But Figureido can't be full of confidence after his performance at Swansea either. From what I've seen he is no better than any of the other Centre halves we have at the club and barring injuries I wouldn't be in a rush to get him back in the first team

Are you lot for real. Slater has been out best midfielder all year. Greaves has had a unbelievable two years, he just needs someone half decent next to him, oh and a couple of full backs. If you think Figs is the answer, your and idiot. Give McLoughlin ago he was very good last year.

Some of our fans can do one. Everyone looks good on the bench.
He Hasnt been our best midfielder he is ****
Does nothing but pass backwards or side wards
And doesn’t cut out any play
****e
Thick ****s can’t see it

I really think a fair few are going way ott here. We are suffering from a bit of a Shota hangover but will shortly appoint a new manager that Im sure will start to figure things out. If we can keep picking up some points here and there and fix any areas the new guy identifies in January than hopefully we will finish the season well before giving it a proper go next season.

Watching today and many other teams they see Jones Figs or Greaves as really slow with the ball and going for the ball as If they they have more time . Second half Hudds knocked balls into the space 15 yds from our box and our backs were slow to come out and they ran in quickly . In which case we should play a slightly higher line and squeeze the space - but we don’t . We should move up as a unit and move back as a unit - we are so disjointed .

From my view in the away end, replacing Tufan with Seri in midfield made us significantly weaker in midfield. Very odd decision.

Seri clearly isn't happy - we don't have the quality around him that he is used to. No doubt great to have in your team when you are 3-0 up and coasting, but (at the moment) not showing he has the desire to drive the team back into a game when we are trailing

I think some of the new guys don’t rate some of the ‘old ‘ guys and don’t get the quality of possession control and movement they’ve been used to maybe?

here's the highlights of our game focusing on mostly us

The way to deal with crosses is stop them coming in and we need a couple of full backs who can do that.

FFS, are we really still doing this? The full backs have been absolutely fine. Two of our best performers this season.

We need to start winning headers on our box. Greaves and Jones both scored from corners against that Spanish team in pre-season but in proper games against tough, Championship players they just don't win them often enough.

This ^^.

For whatever reason, they're not doing the simple bits that they were so good at last season; they're frequently losing men from corners, allowing the ball to bounce instead of clearing it and being slow to react to balls over the top. Neither are blessed with pace but a few times today Huddersfield played the ball into space and they were caught napping. Greaves recovered on one of them very well, but it's happening far too often.

100% agree. We should have sold him to boro
In hindsight ... as he is currently... £8 million was not to be sniffed at... I genuinely hope the lad comes good. I do believe however that part of his problem is that he is so one sided and I dont mean just his feet and that has to be coached out of him. This may seem strange to say. Andy Robertson was very much the same.

doesn't matter how good fullbacks you have, crosses will come in
you can cross from any sort of position, not directly on the byline

We were absolutely rock solid defending corners under McCann. A mix of zonal defending and man to man. Surely he must have left some notes behind in a drawer?

Let’s be honest we’ve conceded bad goals regularly since our relegation to l1 season. Even in l1 this defence conceded Sunday league goals. Last season we may have had better games but the fact teams started with point deductions helped us stay up

Genuinely unsure whether this is a joke or not, but in case it isn't: we were ****e at defending (and attacking) corners under McCann last season in the same ways we are this season. I really think our centre backs just aren't strong enough aerially.
