I do think Gareth Bale is a tad overrated but there's definitely a lot more than his pace there to see... pretty gifted but he is one who only plays well when his team is on fire... when Spurs had to fight a little against us Bale was pretty quiet.

Give him plenty of space and he'll show you what he can do, but how often is he going to be given the time and space to show his party pieces?

Tosh. On occasion he has been the only one hauling the club to a respectable display. The one that springs to mind (although there are others) is the hat trick in milan. The team were 4-0 down and hardly "on fire" then.
Every player has up and down days, no-one pulls out a top drawer performance in every game. Jamie O'Hara, our makeshift left back at the time, once marked C.Ronaldo out a game, means nothing.

Pass the calculator, there has to be a way we can get Blackburn to give us cash + Hoilett for Bentley. Venkys are quite possibly that dumb...

I think it's been made abundantly clear that the Venky's don't have any cash. I'm starting to think they pay everyone in chicken.

..or he missed his true calling.

Bale had spent the previous week playing for Wales. Dragging that team out of mediocrity twice in 3 days would knacker anyone so it's no surprise that he wasn't at his best.

This Bale dispute will go on and on forever and nobody will agree. Just wanted to get that in there early so I can look like a smug **** when this thread hits page 14.

what you wrote was tosh. You clearly haven't watched Bale on too many occasions. Why start flinging the insults? Get over it.

I wasn't being sarcastic you had a point... I thought your reply was pretty fair. I said I can tell your not a juve because your reply made sense... I think your mistaking me for Viking Erik.
