I don't think Tufan knows what to do with Tufan most of the time?

Anyone else like to see Scott Parker get the job? A young manager who's already had 2 promotions to the prem with 2 different clubs, 1 via playoff's and the other automatic.. thats quite impressive.

    https://totalfootballanalysis.com/h...-bournemouth-202122-tactical-analysis-tactics

Interesting read on his style of play... likes a 4231, double pivot in midfield, his Bournemouth side finished the season winning promotion and conceded the least amount of goals.

A bit background about one of the Turkish managers in your list:

Ersun Yanal is a self-made men, who achieved great results with small teams before reaching top tier mainly:
1- With Denizlispor he promoted from 1st league to Super league, and that team he formed ended up being top 16 in UEFA Cup with another manager, beating Lorient, Sparta Prague, O. Lyon and eliminated losing to cup-winner Porto.
2- After leaving Denizli, he was almost finishing as champions with another small team, Ankaragucu. He finished 6th and next season 4th, behind famous Besiktas, Fenerbahce and Galatasaray.
3- After Ankaragucu, rival Genclerbirligi paid huge amount to bring him and he also played for championship finishing 3rd behind Besiktas and Galatasaray and was runner-up of Turkish Cup two seasons in a row.
4- Then he reached national team after stellar perfomances but he lost his position there after having a feud with Hakan Sukur, legendary (lately notorious) striker.
5- In his next address at Manisa, he was moderately succesful but kind of created 3 next superstars of Turkish football, Arda Turan, Burak Yilmaz and Selcuk Inan.
6- I will pass Trabzonspor years, which were turbulent but OK performance, then many years later championship with Fenerbahce in April (earliest for Turkish League).

He is far better manager than other two and also famous with his introduction of computer usage for performance, scouting and training in Turkish football.

Weak sides of Yanal is his handling of media, especially at big clubs. He likes to take his holidays, not living with football 24 hours, which is kind of healthy and normal life but frowned upon for Turkish media.

Edit: Tactic-wise he likes all out attack football (lately a bit calmed down) and usually does tactical fouls in midfield to stop counter attacks, which means that his teams are famous with a lot of red cards, many goals on both side. Usually his teams starts season very well and ends up at top place in first half of the year even with Ankaragucu and Genclerbirligi. But with injuries and card problems second half is usually disappointment, still manages to get top 5 in many occasions.

Other two were famous footballers who ended up in big club seats without any achievement because they were ex-players of those teams.

Interesting like that Yanal is a stats guy. “The data sets you free”. At least that’s what I think you are implying.

Indeed, he had assistants with academic background who were professors or teachers at univesities in the past. Lately he forms his backstaff team with loyal people he collected in previous teams, so a bit changed but in general that's who he is.

Edit: But I have to add that all his success was around early 2000s, which were enlightment age of Turkish football when it comes to data usage, Terim and Yanal were pioneers.

I have got a feeling The Baggies will be looking for a new manager this evening after losing at home to Swansea, I doubt they will be looking at experienced Turkish League managers. And No, I don't want Bruce back here.

Bruce won't last long at WBA after today - only 1 win all season and that was against us - we can only hope Acun doesn't think he's an option - if we think it's bad now the last thing we need is 'cabbage' and his work experience son tagging along

I can see disaster on the horizon if we appoint a Turkish manager with no experience in the Championship. This next appointment is critically important, if Acun wants to keep this team in this division.

    Absolut.

It has to be someone for today and tomorrow. Would be gutted if it's Carlos and his coat too.

If the new man has no EFL experience and reasonable success the we are doomed and Acun is a fool. An inexperienced foreigner would be a disaster.

An experienced Championship Manager does little more than that - just keeps you in the Championship.
Acun has higher ambitions for "his beautiful club" and doesn't want someone who is experienced in delivering mid-table obscurity only.

I think Acun alluded to that when he said we had the chance of many too class coaches but we need the right man with championship experience.
