that’s what does my head in, why is it acceptable for seri and Tufan to half arse their defensive duties because they’re more talented on the ball. Would be on the bench for me until they learn to pull their weight defensively, particularly seri.

Mad how Slater gets a free ride despite having minimal output and being weak in the challenge... Stick Jones next to Seri for me.

If they’re so talented on the ball, why aren’t they passing it round the opposition? How many times does Seri lose it?

Seri easily the most talented player on the ball who has created 11 chances in 4 games. No excuses for getting caught or slacking defensively but I think it is quite plain to see the dogshit tactics and lack of cohesion is the main fault. Against Stoke he dropped in countless times to retrieve the ball in-between the lines and it was never given to him almost always launched 70 yards or cycled between the back 4.

Minimal output you can see he gives a **** and grafts. Only one willing to put a challenge in half the time.

He was doing the exact same on Saturday he just isn't a fancy boy European footballer so doesn't receive the pelters. I just don't think you can play both him and Seri we need a proper DM in there.

I agree to play with Seri. That comes back to the recruitment side of things. Regan is a grafter and there is a place in the squad for someone like him. Needed a DM, like Ndayishimiye, in the summer and didn’t get him.

Least we’ve got 16 attacking midfielders.

I know this debate has been had before on here and it caused a bit of pettiness, maybe it’s not worth reigniting it, but what exactly is Ozan’s best position?

I don’t think he’s a ‘10’ or a ‘6’. He’s obviously a fantastically talented player technically.

He’s probably the same as seri, in that he would be best deeper next to a proper defensive midfielder we never signed. Makes you wonder where they all fit in when Traore and Salah are back.

So we have a window of 2 weeks, we're a new coach/manager can try and mould the players we have into an effective unit, or should I say more effective then we have seen so far. However rather then do this, it seems we are stuck with our current incumbent to waste another 2 weeks stood scratching his head and his arse looking puzzled and none plussed as to how to remedy the sh1t shows we have seen recently.
Now while I'm firmly in the Acun camp, and welcome.his enthusiasm towards us,but I have to say this seems like a major own goal. Just bite the bullet, realise your mate hasn't got a clue how to motivate or organise the squad we have assembled, and get rid ffs ! Bring someone in who can not only organise, but can get their message across to the players in words they can understand.

Quite simply, they don’t.

Injury crisis won’t go on forever and once more players are available after the World Cup, there’s going to be some disgruntled players not getting a chance.

Seri should be dropped at the weekend, I think a message needs sending out if Shota is to give this one last hurrah. Tufan, while very lazy looking last week, at least looked like he might produce something decent, Seri just bottled everything and didn't look arsed at all. I'd have hauled him off after half an hour.

Sinik should be fit for Luton to at least make the bench, I'm excited to see what he can produce.

Getting anyone in right now is going to be tough with Acun having his accident yesterday. Unless of course his next manager he’s lined up is from Turkey & he can do his dream speech with a broken arm.
Just out of curiosity, how much input has the Dutch assistant got? I never see him talking to Shota.

It's Tan that'll handle any sackings/hirings, not Acun.

None of the players who are available for selection at the moment can complain if they are dropped - performances have been garbage - easily as poor as performances were under McCann, and I never thought I would be saying that given the quality of player we have signed.
