The frames are from IKEA...I wanted deep ones so they are behind glass, well plastic. I glued some cork sheet, then some wadding to the back, and covered that in some material the Mrs had. I needed something that the push-in pin type badges could go into, but some material for the clasp type badges to go through.
Grandads are proper medals so I would need a fairly deep frame, got original certificate from his initial buffs joining up in 1962 and I think something from when he was high up in the grand lodge. Be great if I can restore them properly and frame them up
How is that I can walk down my path unmolested, put something in the bin, walk back the same way and bosh cobweb in the face. How quickly are the buggers making them, happens all the time.
no one else in my family has ever mentioned this happening to them, they seem to be able to get me at face level every time with the odd 'wrap around my arms' just for good measure.
I wonder if the benefit brigade will have to worry about cost of living, or do they get a pay rise to cover it? I'd like to add, I'm on about the scammer out for nowters, not genuine people.
'worry about it'... we do nothing else, everything goes up when the budget is announced apart from benefits, and that 'pay rise' arrives a full six months later by which time most things have increased by a pence or two more. yet people still feel the need to have a pop at the 'benefit brigade' every chance they get, being in heart failure with C.O.P.D. and diabetes as well as some serious mental health problems i struggle to walk down the garden so excuse me if i am a scrounger.
mate, I'm on about the scammers, not genuine people. You know, 5 kids, smoke 30 a day, all the latest gear, sky, drink etc.
Good to know I'm not the only one regularly taking a cobweb to the face, it'd be nice to see it happen to someone else for a change though.
that is the problem though 'benefit brigade' is much the same as 'football supporters' was in the 70's....because of a few hooligans (compared to how many went to games) the entire football supporting community was lumped in together. 'the benefit scroungers' would be a more correct term...but even then they do seem to have maximum benefits and usually a half decent income stream so cost of living does not bother them, unlike the genuine sick.
Not a chance, pensions will rise in line with whichever is the highest out of September's inflation rate (Consumer Prices Index), average earnings, or 2.5%. Conveniently Septembers inflation rate looks like dropping to under 10% so that's what we will get, despite inflation forecast to rise to over 14% before we actually get the rise.
if I've offended I apologise. But driving out of my estate at half 4 in the morning for work, going past people rent paid house that's got f#*k all wrong with them, new car on the drive cheating the system because the cars in aunt Maybles name etc I think "Whos the mug here".
