My guess is we will find out soon! The under 23 sides are sometimes put to on video, so we might get a chance to see the new guys.. Otherwise i cannot see the starting 11 changing much atm...if it a'int bust don't fix it.
Its the right thing to do for him, hes a great lad n at the age where he should be playing every week. He wouldnt be close to making the bench for us, we would need a lot of injuries for him to start a game
Yeah he can, can play on the wing or up top. He couldnt play upfront himself but could def play with Stewart or Simms
Seen a few comments about the "ITKs" getting a few bits wrong. It's been said before that when dealing with people, things change in an instant. I've been told over the past few weeks in confidence about deals that are happening, "Tomorrow morning", low and behold the next morning there's an announcement. Lads get information at face value and go out on a limb to pass it on. All of the players we have signed gave spot on information before hand. And yes, some players, agents and indeed managers (Potter) changed their minds.
He largely played a free role behind the striker for utd reserves and in cup games or so I’m told by utd fans
I think most on here know that any info from a genuine itk...and we know who they are generally...is passed on in good faith and there is always the likelihood that things will change and it'll turn out not to be reality. I hope the info keeps coming though....I enjoy the speculation....and the lads that post don't get put off by the small number of sceptics.
This isn't now the perfect squad but it's a good one. It's impossible to have cover for every position with players as good as those with the short ... ... as O'Nien has shown players will sometimes have to play well in different positions. With Stewart, Simms and Dajaku already here it would be a patient striker who's prepared to come and wait for injuries. I'd imagine we'd have guaranteed Simms certain playing time which complicates things further.
There was a bit of speculation can’t remember if it was here or OTR that it was Mosquera from Wolves. No idea if it was him or not. Definitely not ITK myself.
Its all terminology but wouldn't call "promotion" the goal for this season. Aspiration, yes. And a goal in the medium term for sure. The goal is to finish as high as we can. And win as many games as we can, whilst developing and retaining the optimum squad for next season, and let our final position this year take care of itself. thats long winded I know.
Not for me, Hume and onien ahead of him at right side if anything happens to gooch and wouldn’t want him anywhere near centre. Good move for him as he’s not good enough for where we are. No problem with him as I think he’s a good league 1 player
In the mirror article Mogga saying its best to bring them on after the physicality has gone out of the game... https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/tony-mowbray-sunderland-boss-newcastle-27881575 “We are investing in some really young lads. I watched them on presentations from the recruitment department… agile, clever fast footballers. At the right moment put them into a game when the physicality has gone out of it you will see some footballers who will light up the league."
I would hope Dajaku would be nowhere near our thinking when it comes to striking options, looked like a fish out of water. Only as cover for wide positions. Would imagine Diallo would be 3rd striker option if needed.
See diallo as the broadhead replacement comfortable across the front 3 and electric pace, hope his finishing is as good, exciting prospect though
Yeh not as much of a "poacher" as broadhead but with his pace and skill should be an absolute nightmare for tired defenders picking up flick-ons from Rossco or Simms
