Tremendously happy with start to season, transfers and spirit of the team. Great to see AN debacle didn't impact this and shows the resilience. Whenever we sign someone it's always great, who's next? This is natural but good work is taken for granted very quickly. The club and recruitment team should be very proud of what they've done, absolutely brilliant! Get LND signed up for 4 years and I genuinely couldn't ask for more, fantastic all round
so, the window has slammed once again and some appear to be complaining of our transfer dealings.
while we still think of ourselves as a big club the plain and simple fact is we have been in div 3 forever and basically all we are at present is a newly promoted club that has made an okay start...to do the business we have with that disruption last week is excellent imho and no one is going to change that.
while we will be lucky to set this league alight that was never the plan, people need to remember we are aiming to be a self sustainable club and 'marquee' signings are a long way of..these young lads that have come in may well be a tad raw but let's at least give them (and mowbray) a chance to settle and show what they can do.

Lukas Rupp, Michael Hector and Danny Drinkwater who have all been linked earlier in the window are all still free agents. They may have been more Neil’s pushes for adding experience mind.
If the club’s policy is to not pay fees for over 24’s then maybe the intention was always to take a look into this market to supplement what we’ve managed to bring in in the window.
The squad is pretty much there for me until the next window though.

I'd take a punt on Vydra as backup to Stewart/Simms. It's been a while since he was prolific, but he's only 30, and last time he played in the Championship, he scored 21.
I'd also take Hector for CB cover.
I know nowt about the 3 lads that signed the other day but I’m sure a few said Diallo can play up front. I might’ve dreamt it though.
