actually I've only just read that statement. Seems Parker would NOT be a good fit with us :D

I actually think its fair enough now if they're sacking him because he keeps calling them out on their strategy (which seems to be working)

Harsh, but they have been whipping boys in recent weeks in the prem. Was a really tough start on paper though so surely deserved a bit of leeway with the more ‘winnable’ games coming up.

seems he's been sacked for his comments in the press about the board not investing or supporting him, rather than the results

As their results so far have been a win against Villa and then losses to City, Arsenal and Liverpool. not too bad that

That, if it is Mowbray will be shown to be utter bullshit in the next day or so. His Data drive analysis model may as well be thrown in the bin because that's were it will belong.

Does it not beg the question if Forest can go up and spend so much at the first time of asking why can’t Bournemouth go for it and invest heavily? Yo-Yo’ing like Norwich isn’t making them sustainable because yet again they’re back in the championship.

Since Bournemouth’s first season in the premier league 7 years ago their net spend is approx £95m. Just over £200m of transfer fees and over £100m of player sales. That is absolute peanuts for the period of time measured against, I’m not sure what that they’re expecting to achieve.

    two different valid approaches.

Forest are a club with a huge fanbase that are desperate for success and it probably tips the balance in favour of having a punt
Bournemouth have a small fanbase and are punching way above their weight. Being a top level championship club is utopia for them, they should be League 2 or bust.

Bournemouth know they're more likely to be in League One in 6 years if they invest massively now than if they dont.

Not being funny but this is a good point from George

Blackburn have had loads of top loan players recently. Mowbray clearly entrusted with youth within the game

could be massive for us over next few days...

Realistically though how much difference does having 30,000 fans at a game make over 10,000 at that level? 20,000 tickets at £30 each over 19 games a season is £11.4m it’s nothing to premier league clubs just a slight boost to FFP income. The bigger clubs make that up with a sleeve sponsor nowadays. Surely the end goal for Bournemouth is the same as Forest, to become a stable premier league club as that’s where the money is. Forest will need to gel quickly if they want to survive but they have a better player in pretty much every position than Bournemouth, I’m just struggling to see where B’mouth go from here. Back down with a half decent squad, bank the premier league money and retain some players then have another good season in the championship just to go up and spend peanuts and struggle again?

I didnt mean the fanbase sizes from a financial perspective - purely from an expectation

forest fans would not for a second accept that top half of championship is their correct place. neither would ours.

bournemouth fans, deep down, would chop theirs arms off to be told they'll be top half championship and occasional premier league club for the next 20 years

I dont understand this. Mowbray has a record of bringing on the exact kind of players we are targeting, whilst also achieving what we want to achieve

I may be wrong but didn’t someone at Norwich come out and say their aim is to be in the top 25 clubs in the country?
