Maybe so, yes, but it'll be a higher offer to get him to sign that deal than he's currently on. Meanwhile the risk is ours that he continues his form and doesn't get injured then simply hold us to the full term.
The problem you have is that there's not much of a market for selling players at that level. There aren't many clubs willing to pay 6 figure fees on a back up full back. Since COVID, there's not really that much money in the Championship outside those with parachute payments. There's only about 6/7 clubs with a negative net spend according to Transfermarkt And he's going to be hesitant to drop into L1 as the wages aren't there.
Certainly going to be an interesting season, Sud’s made this point a couple times that if we were to go up this season we’d have to turnover the squad like Forest have. Quality wise the leagues the lowest it’s been for a while IMO. Only really been impressed with the Blunts so far but if they lose Berge in the next few they’ll fade. Good time to invest, would need serious investment if we went up though obviously but would effectively need nearly a new squad should the impossible happen this season
Nope me neither, add to that the contacts of Tan Kesler we’d maybe push out the bottom 5 for a change. The level of sponsorship he’s attracted in the championship is scary enough money wise, can’t imagine what it’d go to in the premier league
Or the Turkish market exploding... On face value at least, this guy seems to have the resources to establish us for at least a good few years, unlike any of our previous owners.
Shame it’s on Hull Live so I can’t read it. I don’t mean I have a moral objection to Reach PLC (I do, but that’s irrelevant) I just can’t get it to load past the first advert on my phone and then everything freezes. Not to worry.
here you go- Acun Ilicali says the success of Hull City's transfer window should not be judged by him alone, but by the reaction of supporters to the club's frenetic summer of activity. The Tigers have so far signed 13 players over the course of the summer with at least two more expected before the 11pm deadline on Thursday night, and there may yet be one or two surprises - and some supporters have rated it as the best for a significant amount of time. Jean Michael Seri, Ozan Tufan, Oscar Estupinan, Nathan Baxter, Tobias Figueiredo, and Benjamin Tetteh are among the raft of transfers Ilicali has bankrolled in a bid to turn City into a squad capable of challenging at the top end of the Championship. City's latest signing Dimitrios Pelkas underwent a medical on Monday afternoon after flying in from Istanbul to complete the formalities of his loan move from Fenerbahce, and the club continue to work on signing an international winger, who can also operate upfront, ensuring the climax to a fascinating window will be an exciting one. "We are still working 24 hours a day to get the last transfers done," the Tigers owner explained. "Dimitrios Pelkas will be with me at QPR on Tuesday night and I am expecting him to be able to play on Sunday afternoon (against Sheffield United). We have one more transfer target and it will be our last surprise for our fans." If City fans were planning a nice quiet evening on Thursday, they may just want to keep an eye on developments at the MKM Stadium, because you certainly wouldn't rule out some late activity to complement what's already been a productive few months.
Longman far better than Williams, bloke has had some purple patches at this level whilst Randell looks like he doesn't belong imo
Which is fair enough. I’d rather get confirmed news a little later, but correct, than speculation or exposés which set the local media back years like the Allams did
Williams has just never done anything has he? Literally. No goal, no assist, can't remember him ever even having a 'nearly' moment or coming close to creating anything. He's supposedly really quick but the last few weeks we've relied on him off the bench when we've been hanging on in games and he's done nothing to get us up the pitch on the break or anything. Longman on the other hand held his own personal goal of the season competition last year. There's absolutely no comparison.
