The thing about Warnock is he has forgotten more about how to win a game of football, or gather points, than a lot have ever learned. He is unbelievable when you really listen to him. He isnt the dinosaur some will have him made out to be, but nor does he need the stresses and workload adsociated with a modern day 1st team. His positive impact over 40 years or so has been great for me. In some ways one of those, like Allardyce, that has moved the game forward massively in this country.
Mowbray wasn’t the appointment we all wanted, but, RTG is as toxic tonight than it has ever been. Absolutely shocking even by RTG’s standards.
Allardyce was massive on data, analytics, sports science, psychology etc even back in his Bolton days iirc.
Are you surprised? I’m convinced 50% are Mags and the other 50% are missing chromosomes. Seen a few on the Michut thread complaining because he looks about 7 stone wet through.. must have to be built like a brick ****house to be a good footballer these days
I'm guessing that a lot of the disdain for Mowbray is because he's not a fashionable choice and doesn't give us any bragging rights. We've already had one mag chump on here trying to take the piss and if you're unlucky enough to work with them there'll be some mick taking. Seems like he's got a lot going for him though and I suspect in time we'll have the last laugh about it. Must admit I thought he was pushing 70, sorry Tony, 58 is a canny age for a manager.
Cant understand people twisting about his age mind. Theres an 80 year old running the most powerful country in the world. A 70 odd year old wanting to take over in 2 years time. At 58 I'm sure he can run a football clubs first team..
Exactly mate. Nobody knows how he'll do. But he's experienced and has a decent CV for this level. A better one than Niel. So nobody can just write him off cos of how he talks, walks or farts FFS
Football fans often do this and football fans on the internet almost always do it. No-one knows how it will go, there's a huge element of luck even in the most well thought out appointments. But people have a habit of criticising appointments/signings as if opinion is matter of fact. Then they wear the "I admit I wrong" badge of honour as if they deserve credit for admitting they massively overreacted before writing off the next man through the door as if they've learned nothing.
Good luck to him, and if he comes, welcome. He knows the league, is the same standard as Neil more or less, will play canny , though possibly less pragmatic football, and is not a twat.
I read the odd thread but on a whole for a person who suffers with anxiety I stay away from that place it’s not good for your health
If there's any doubt about how ridiculous football fans can be, 3% of the rtg community who voted wanted Daniel Farke - the same Daniel Farke who is currently managing one of Germany's most famous clubs and is unbeaten so far this season being the first team to take points of Bayern in the process.
As if we needed more ridicule after some knackers on Twitter said Pochettino or Potter and now SportBible have posted about it..
