That is an optimistic take because that offer is indeed a long way short. And it seems like this summer clubs haven't really budged on their valuations. Although maybe that is selection bias. There seemed to be no budging on Cucurella and Antony. A little on Fofana and it seems like a little on Sasa to Wolves (they wanted 20-25 and it will be 18)

 

The last 2 have gone well, seems like they might be jinxed this summer

 

We are being quite cautious i hope as I think there have been three premature "Saint" thread this summer. One has an outside chance of still happening (Garner). But Delap definitely not and I doubt Ramos either as that has gone completely dead

 

Yeah I think we are going to need to save them for official announcements. I'm not even sure a "Here we go" tweet is enough either as he did that for Joao Pedro to Newcastle and they seemed to have dropped it and gone for Isak

 

I’d like us to go in for Joao Pedro. Sounds around our price point and think he could be very good. He might not be interested though

 

I’m trying not to get excited because I’ve been hurt before and it seems so out of our budget.

But he is absolutely class and it would be amazing if we can pull it off

 

I think the last day of the transfer window is actually going to exciting for once

 

Has anyone else other than Newcastle been linked? As I assume he'd sooner move from the championship. I guess Forest and Everton?

 

Garner and Gakpo with a side of Caleta-Car and I don't think we will be able to beat this window ever again.

Clubs at this time of the transfer window, would rarely waste time on players who have no intention of joining them. Would appear we have a lot of irons in a lot of fires. Let’s hope we can pull a couple of, as I think it will probably be the biggest anti climax to the end of the window ever after all these links. The next 72 hours is going to be fun I hope.

Is deadline day actually Thursday? So end of the day Thursday? Or is it Wednesday (which I would have assumed being the last day of the month)

I assumed it was Wednesday too, But it is "Slamming shut" 11pm on Thirsday.

Now that’s more like it! I really like BBD actually. He’s started off hot again this year too. We’ve been linked for bloody ages though. Think Rovers would like to sell this window to maximise their profit.

 

I do wonder whether the finances were right we'd bring him in aswell to challenge Che up front.
