is this the time to experiment with a unknowing we first need to make sure we not be in a relegation battle as going back down would be a disaster Mowbray not my first choice has lots of championship experience and should keep us away from a relegation battle
To be fair mate, wasn't Ally McCoist involved with it at the time. My memory isn't great as a lot changed in that time, when I think of Mcinnes I think he was touted then we got Jack Ross and everytime it gets pointed put we got grayson as it was the year before. I thought at some point ally McCoist and Walter Smith were called in to help us find a manager as we all thought it was going to be them two getting the job? Quick edit I'm not saying it's not bullshit like as I pointed out at the time he said that it was a done deal and mcinnes was coming he had just had breakfast or something with him and it was done.
I took it more as a person suggests a name, and the other probably gave a knowing indication without confirming or denying it type of situation. Therefore not breaking any confidentiality. That’s how I imagine these little bits of info can come out but could have watched too many old movies, ha!
I’d be surprised if it wasn’t Mowbray at this point. My mate, who isn’t even a Sunderland fan, reckons it’s Barry.
I'm not agreeing with AN but If I were him and signed an improved contract 4 weeks ago then decided in a meeting with Speakman to leave of friday (we know that's lies now) only for Speakman to try and give you a further improved contract, what would you think? If I were AN in that meeting I think I'd be considering "Why did you not give me your best offer 4 weeks ago".????? I'd not stay either.
Barry would be a very very good fit, an actual coach, highly rated, done the yards at Wigan Chelsea and now Belguim it just cant be Mowbray it just cant be
What’s your thoughts on the situation then? Better to have an input to the conversation, rather than just post sound bites from another forum hoping for likes. If you don’t want to read what another person is putting, just hoy them on ignore.
Do you not think given how this has planned out over the weekend that maybe, just maybe Neil was going to Stoke no matter what we did?
there isn't one very strange but it almost certain be Mowbray maybe Jeff Sterling on sky sports on saturday saying it Mowbray stopped the bookies giving the odds
Has anybody noticed how there's loads of people posting on here that don't normally - largely with negative comments? Whether the decision makers get who I want of not I'm going to trust them as they have already good record recruitment including managers.
I will get behind whoever is appointed, however I do think Mowbray is a very underwhelming appointment. Manning for me . Whoever it is they have a good group of players to choose from although a little more strength in depth would be good.
If the contract he signed 4 weeks ago was less than he believed he was worth then why did he sign it? He will regret this move in years to come, no matter how confident the bloke is in his own abilities and decisions.
