Might just be because he was in pain, he was limping when he left the ground as will probably be on the injury thread by tomorrow.

Its pretty mad but 7 of those aren't available to start. It's basically a completely different side

There was a move yesterday which I think led to the third goal. Brilliant bit of simple passing to get us out from the back and in behind them leading to Coyle being free on the right wing.

Fact is, this is just how almost every team plays now. Coaches have realised that this is the best way to get the ball forward. Hoofing it more often than not just means that it will come straight back and put you under pressure. We don't have to fully understand it, but I think we do have to accept that this is just considered the best way to play by all of the experts nowadays, and shouting for them to just put the laces through it is just dinosaur stuff.

Also, there's a lot of talk about us having the worst defence in the league, most shots against and so on, but that surely is heavily influenced by the off day we had at WBA. Every team will have those and it will even out over the season, but we've had one of ours already and others won't have yet. Too early to be losing our minds over the GA column just now I think, especially as we're still doing really well on the whole. And if we're going to spend money on the defence, how much better can the personnel get? Are we going to replace Greaves? Replace Figuereido who we only just signed? I do think we need more options at the back, but to say we desperately need to improve on the starting back three is pretty harsh I think.

Nothing wrong with playing out from the back, but occasionally when under pressure a better option might be a mid range clearance beyond their midfield when they’re all on the edge of the box.
Whatever on balance it’s working anyway though

When it works, it looks great, I do think it’s a good way if you’ve got players like the top teams do, maybe when we play “weaker teams,” we’ll see it work with us. But how many times do we see the keeper to defender pass in the penalty area, turn from going forward, to eventually a hurried pass back to the keeper, then hoof it, I’m not noticing the opponent’s doing the similar thing.

    Let's make this simple

To the tune of Happy Hour.

    "He's a scoring machine,
    Estupinan oh oh.
Oscar scores again and again and again.
Oscar scores again and again and again"

    Repeat ad infinitum

Despite what you refuse to believe, the full backs are the bigger concern. It's too easy to get down our sides, and we don't block enough crosses.

We can ignore the stats all along, but Ingram has been very busy and we've conceded too many.

I have had a look back at the highlights and the third goal comes from a one two to Coyle after a throw in. I have seen us concede from playing out from the back but I've yet to see us score. I appreciate the "hoof it" is out dated but our defence seem to spend rather a lot of time passing sideways before back to Ingram for a hasty clearance. I hope the return of injured players in midfield will improve this but Seri got caught in possession vs Leicester so we will see. I think we do better with an old fashioned goal kick at the moment.

Are you just ignoring yesterday's game? I can only remember Ingram making one save, it was actually a quiet game in terms of chances, certainly not a typical 5-goal game. I know it always has to be Coyle or Elder's fault but Christ, what do you want them to do about us conceding from a corner and a penalty?

Melody: ABBA - Gimme! Gimme! Gimme

    OSCAR, OSCAR, OSCAR, OSCAR ESTUPINAN!
HE COMES FROM COLOMBIA, HE'S A SCORING MACHINE
    OSCAR, OSCAR, OSCAR, OSCAR ESTUPINAN
