Balogun's a CB, yes. I was replying to Hammersmith's post about Longelo, the West Ham lad, who's a LWB.
There was a rumour a couple of weeks ago. Personally I don’t think Dickie is a top half PL player by a mile, but my Foxes mates tell me they have ****ed up their transfer window big time and I’m guessing that they might want a back up CB, knowing they can’t get a first pick one in the time available.
Don't disagree with that. It's the reason why I said he was supposed to have been got rid of. One of the reasons it's difficult to take seriously anything that players, managers and owners of the Club say. Particularly on the offy. There is a reason why you should not just ask leading questions in an interview as much as in a court hearing. Even if true, the answer lacks credibility.
He is a right footed apparently. Usually a CB but he has also played RB earlier in his career in Germany, and filled in there for Rangers.
Unconfirmed reports that Longelo of West Ham has been training with us. He is a 21 year old left back. Perhaps he can play in midfield?
Blimey, that would be nice but he ain't worth anything near that. In my opinion, he is our weakest cb.
whatever dickies worth and leicester want him, we will end up with our pants down and take a paltry fee..
Hmm, not sure sure. Have we ever been in a position when a club wants one of our players on deadline day, is desperate for a CB, and has just received a massively inflated transfer fee for one of their own CBs? In lots of the transfers people have been annoyed about in recent years (Austin first time, Smithies, Freeman, BOS etc) the club has had very little negotiating power because of contracts running down or other factors. This, if true, would be different.
He certainly seems to have been a bit of a flash in the pan since the start of last season (although, of course, goal scoring isn’t his primary deliverable). I’d sell if the price is right.
If Leicester get £70 million for Fofana we should hold out for £10 million. Although I heard he's being sent to America for his medical at the Chelsea owners insistence...
Chatter that Dykes is wanted by a few other Championship clubs. Still two years on his contract and no time to get in another (decent) striker until January realistically - if not next season. So we may have to play Beale up front.
