And he would have started this season with the March onwards results round his neck, and essentially the same disillusioned squad. The dynamic would not have worked Best to have a new start...with the same squad
Oh my Balogun is definitely ...one of our own Born to a Nigerian father and German mother, Balogun was called up by Nigeria for a March 2014 friendly against Mexico as a replacement for Joseph Yobo.[19] Balogun entered at half-time, but was injured after 20 minutes in a collision with signage on the touchline. He fractured his foot and was set to miss 2–3 months after surgery. However, he later confirmed to news media that his injury did not require surgery.[
Balogan will be a terrific signing, I read the comments when he left Rangers and he is a proper team player, great in the dressing room and a quality defender, just the sort of experienced player who could make the difference...
Who is or was "disillusioned" Beth? I saw a photo today on the Official of Amos out on the grass with a ball at his feet, on his road to recovery, they say. If he isn't disillusioned after all his injuries I don't know why any of the others need be.
Hadn't you noticed the total lack of belief that we were going up ...in March and April last year. The squad did not believe Warbs couldn't get them to believe The rot had set in and it would persist to this season Either get rid of manager...or most of the squad I know what the cheaper option was
I thought it was mostly down to the injuries to key players, especially, but not only, to Willock and Dieng, We have been clearly a much better team with a half fit Willock playing compared to not playing so far this season. Dieng's ability with the ball at his feet is a huge plus too. It looks like we have not only changed the Manager, already got rid of a number of regulars, but will also be getting rid of a few more squad players in the next few days, if Beale is to be believed.
Probably meaning 3 at the back imminently. Strange goings on last couple of weeks, we've gone from not being able to bring in 1 loan signing without getting rid of players first to looking to bring in between 3-5 lol. Beale obviously saw the squad was nowhere near strong enough and has told the board what needed to happen. Happy that they have seen this is the case and have agreed to back him. Now let's just hope we can get in the right ones, especially up top !
I'm pleased with that - I think the squad lacked a little experience, especially from players on the pitch. Can't expect Albert to be the elder statesman from the bench. Hopefully a Nelson type signing.
Happy with the signing, hopefully now be a back three of Dickie, Dunne and Balogun. Where's that hot striker?
I think Beale will want Clarke-Salter in the three, but any three from those four seems good. Looks like a good signing.
