Speakman just basically said he has previous other candidates he would prefer over Niel

 

Speakman saying AN signed a new contract 4 weeks ago

 

Just heard that, just shows that a contract is worthless, purely money!

 

Aye if he wasn’t happy then he shouldn’t have signed it the ****

 

It was a small bump like I said previously but not what he wanted. Then we made counter off like I said but it was too late.

i guess you would have already posted if so, but was there any mention of contract length or if it was another 'rolling' one?

also, if he did sign a 'proper contract' and stoke were put off other mangers due to compo, why were they not put off by our compo?

 

So why did he sign it and not keep negotiating?

Signing it makes the club think he is fine with it, surely?

 

The way I took it was the same contract just a bump in wages

 

It’s all very bizzare, I didn’t really like the way speakman came across tbh but then again I think I’m still in shock at it all

 

Cause AN insists on a rolling contract and a clause to allow him to speak to other clubs which I assume means the compo was small!

 

Be worse when he appoints mowbray
