Has Neil spoken to Speakman about a new contract? Has he spoken to Speakman about the approach of other clubs and used it as leverage? Has he just gone and done it without speaking to the club because he doesn't like what he's got?
what we don't need is the club to spend the next 3/4/5 weeks pi55ing about appointing someone else.....
If he has indeed gone for talks then he’s done here either way, we all know that as a fan base respect and loyalty is massive. My brain thinking he was never intended long term, and have the owners already got an eye on someone but weren’t in a position to move him on with the goodwill of the support? Its been far too free, appears we’ve had no interest whatsoever in fighting to keep him.
Yeah it has to be that way There can’t hold the club to ransom However is that the way forward offer him a big rise and a long contract Maybe so ????
That doesn't make sense. There'd be no point in having a year if there was no protection for the club and the manager.
If it was contract length etc he wouldn't be on his way to Stoke he would be looked away with Speakman etc trying to sort a deal more in line with what he wants.
If he wasnt happy with it then dont sign the contract - pretty simple. I hate all this having a go at speakman, hes totally helped change the direction of our club. If neil doesnt want to be here then he can go
I know it’s SAFC and we don’t get nice things very often but I genuinely can’t believe this. Was buzzing for the game tonorrow…
That was the point don't commit so if he didn't work out no pay off for him. But as soon as he got in the playoffs a new deal should have been thrashed out.
They can shove the press conference up their arse aswell, not interested 0-3 defeat tomorrow then dick about scraping the barrel for a replacement, good job Netflix are here for it again, comedy ****ing gold
Neil said he was happy with the contract because if he said he’s unhappy he’d look like a tool.. maybe he was desperate for the job so took it on the basis thinking he’d get a better contract if he won promotion? Didnt Keane reject us because of contractual issues?
You know in the first instance I feel he was taken not for the long hall However he has done a good job and wants rewarded with a big contract and rise Maybe we have changed our stance on him and now want him We shall see
I'm going to put it out there as well, but not having it that this is JUST Speakman's fault. What the **** is KLD doing? Seriously He's presiding over a non-football side of the club that can't even open a ticket office And he's presiding over a football side of the club which is losing its manager, the one difference maker that got us promoted. He needs to pull his finger out and start prioritising
So… He takes training in Sunderland this morning, probably finish around 11-12? Then he goes for talks with Stoke, then he’s back in Sunderland for a press conference at 2? What’s he driving?
