Current rumour is they want Dubravka on loan. Not sure why we'd entertain that - minimal benefit to us, unlikely to usurp De Gea, and why the feck would we help Man U out anyway?
Howe slowly building his own team, and Pope seems like much more of the kind of keeper that he wants rather than Dubravka. As well as being younger and able to grow with the team for longer, Pope has looked like a significant upgrade on Dubravka thus far. Dubravka ain't gonna be happy as no 2, so I assume he'll want a move.
From the forum that previously brought you "Bruno Guimaraes is a mid table championship player", we now have a debate about the "non goal scoring centre forward" we're about to sign:
Will give Dubs first team football I guess, but a crappy move from a team on the up to one on a huge downer.
What do they know about goalscoring? Even Chris Wood has already scored more goals in the EFL Cup this season than they have/can.
£20m for Dubs plus the £9m they owe which means Maddison would only cost us £31m+,cheap at half the price.
Loaning out Dubs to manure utterly makes no sense.. Remember what they did to us back in January for Lingard? We don't need to help the *******
We should loan him to them with similar terms - ie "pay Dubravka's wages plus a £10m additional payment if you stay up"
Have u seen the other comment about Bruno? Wouldn’t make it into any of the big 6 teams Poster obviously doesn’t watch ANY football
To fair you can understand why they get things wrong - when you're that far down in the insect kingdom, things must get blurry when you're starring that high up...
You’re right, he isn’t an out and out striker, I think there’s a touch of the Henry’s about him, very similar at the same age. Let’s just hope Isak goes the same way as Henry.
Ah yes, "the line" - Alan Pardew's eternally insurmountable obstacle. A victory against the line finally!
Done deal. If there was any doubt whatsoever, whether Isak 'works' or not, this is massive. Interesting stats that we are ahead of schedule. We're 5th in terms of PPG this year, and if we keep it going have effectively broken the top6. I wonder if the unbeaten start has accelerated the plans, where the owners have just thought "let's go for it now, Man U/Chelsea (4th spot) are there for the taking."
