No certainly not, it would only be travel between places of work, not the travel cost of travelling to work (assuming your tax laws are similar/equal to ours).

Yeah if we use our own vehicles or pay for fuel in company vehicles ourselves we put in a mileage claim with employer and the business reimburses **p per mile. (45p for me but I think it’s up to the company?)

Way too good to be playing at Championship level, but would want very high wages, would rather give Longman a place in the squad.

Same outlet reporting interest from Saudi and UAE anyway. We’ve already had to offer mega money for one and lose one to that part of the world this Summer. One to pass like you say.

To clarify, most employed people on PAYE can't claim for travel to / from work!!!

Always thought you could if you registered for SA and did a full return, kept bus/train receipts etc . Think they get around the car thing though because it isn't seen as an expense purely for work purposes in most family situations. Only time I've done it is when I was partially self employed though, so could be wrong.

Some folk on PAYE probably do lose out on certain eligible deductions - such as travelling expenses to and from work but for many the cost of an accountant and/or just the hassle of submitting their own return isn't worth the few quid you would save. Also HMRC occasionally make things easier by negotiating tax code or being able to register as working from home to claim a small weekly discount etc.

Obviously if you do have significant deductions then self assessment becomes worthwhile. It can get complex for average Joe though when PAYE is already paid on part of your income but not all.

My old man’s self-employed and every year gets me to organise his diesel receipts for his van and add them up for his self-assessment.

I'd take Fegouli every day of the week, he's not even that old. Not sure about his wages but if he wants to come I'd get it done. Would be a big signing for us

Would it mean no Pelkas though?

Shouldn't do, Pelkas is an attacking midfielder and that one seems done. I'm not certain we'll be able to get Halil out of Brentford.

We do also lack out and out wingers. Only really have Sinik & Longman but do have a fair few that can play there. You can never have enough good attacking options though, it's such a long season.

He's probably a player who wouldn't have thought twice about us 6 weeks ago.

Different for self employed.
Can't be claimed for employed !
