The Wendies are wetting themselves over Wilkes on their board- whilst I hope he does well for them I fear it will turn sour in the end
I prefer this to the Ngakia move. Seems like a more attacking option and he can also cover a variety of positions.
This could potentially be the 3rd player we've signed from one of the big 6 this summer who've wanted to come to us despite their old club wanting to keep them.
That's a pretty huge achievement alone for a side that finished 19th in the Championship
I can see why Lavinier would want to leave, he's 21 and probably 4th/5th choice at right back. I'm surprised Salah is happy to leave Arsenal so early, especially having been in and around their first team, but if he's been promised a key role in our project I can maybe understand it.
The one I really don't get is Lo-Tutala. He's come in as our 3rd choice GK, Baxter who's likely to sign is still young and theres Cartwright to come back who's very highly rated himself. I'm not complaining, but if he's left for game time I wouldn't be so sure he's getting it here.
It's a man's game!Meet our new RB.

Don't be so sure Baxter will be signed
Having an option just means there's a fee pre agreed. We would still have to agree terms with the player. Perhaps Ingrams form keeps him out and he doesn't want to be a number 2? Perhaps someone comes in with a contract offer we can't match?
Having an option is far from making the signing a formality as you seem to be assuming. Lot of water to pass under the bridge between now and summer, and even if we do sign him, it would just mean 2 of Cartwright, Robson and Timothee would go out on loan again or we could decide to move one of those on if the right offer comes in and they aren't expected to challenge for the Jersey.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with having 3 promising young keepers under contract. Nothing at all.
We also agreed that option before the young French lad came in, that could change things easily considering he's a free Vs a decent fee for Baxter

I know it's far from a done deal but i'm sure everything is agreed in principle and should be a formality as long as both sides want it to happen. We pushed hard for Baxter all summer, would be bizarre not to utilise him now.
Last season he was statistically the best goalkeeper in the league. He's had the best save percentage in the league the last 2 seasons. We'd definitely regret letting him get away after being in such a prominent position

From our bench to Inter Milan.

A season is a long time in football.
I'd take 1 keeper under contract over 2 with options to buy, put it that way.
Is there not compensation to pay?
If they were showing interest then it's unsurprising he's not back here then.
Spurs released him so I'm not sure if I'm honest
Depends what the thought process is with Cartwright too.
If he has a decent season on loan he could easily come back as first choice or at least competing with Ingram. He needs to get fit asap first though
