No idea. Don’t think he’d be starting ahead of Stewart or Simms - he does score his fair share of goals though. Probably a good option to have as someone’s already mentioned due to being able to play in numerous positions
Morata went to Juve for £15m and Madrid bought him back for about £20m then sold him to Chelsea for £60m. Iirc casemiro had one activated to go back to Madrid from Porto for barely more than they sold him for. Then Chelsea dropped a £65m buy back into the deal for Tammy Abraham which is obviously mega money. If you’re a big club then it’s good business allowing someone that you’re unsure of to go for say £10m and adding a £20m buy back. £10m to discover someone’s talent if you like, when they ordinarily wouldn’t get a game in your current set up and you don’t want to keep loaning them out. And someone asked if a player can refuse a buy back, I don’t think can. I’m sure it’s a contractual agreement and probably something that’s agreed on by the player when he’s initially sold ie if we buy you back you’d be on X amount of money for X length of years etc unless conditions A/B/C change ie your new club increase your wage/contract length and then we’ll match it.
Matt Clarke is nearly 26, wouldn’t make sense loaning him out of Van Hecke. Surely if they need cover it’ll be him staying edit; just seen it’s a permanent they’re talking about for Clarke never mind
I cant see it mate. Matt Clarke has never been anywhere near the Brighton first team has he? Been permanently on loan. Will just be a case of getting him off the books altogether. The Dutch lad I reckon they see as one for their future, so will still get a loan move for a season. All my guesswork only.
I think he wouldn't have any trouble at all playing in Pritchard's position. When I saw him last season, he was playing out on the left of midfield and was constantly cutting in to the centre, attacking the 18 yard box, causing the defence all sorts of problems. This lad can play anywhere across the front, so would be a great addition to the squad.
