Players who are a little out of their comfort zone skill wise tend to make it up with effort and aggression. That's what's happening here. I'm sure Alex Neil and the coaches will be working hard with him on things like positional play, etc.to try to help him.
For a full international It’s not a bad price I don’t think, an 18 year old scottish international would probably cost treble that for example
Agree,but I've said before on here,he's much better the deeper he plays as most of the game is in front of him. The point I was trying to make,I suppose,is that if he feels he's up against a more skilful opponent,he feels he needs to be aggressive.

I think O’Nien’s lack of top end speed leads to some of the lunges as well. He is diving in before the player gets away from him.
He has been very good, credit to him. Mind you I do agree about the red card. Too many of our lads are getting carded this season for me. Good to see our backup lads did well last night. They all have parts to play this season for me.
