At face value looks that way. Great we've got the option to sign at the end of the loan term.

According to some that doesn't mean anything..

But perfect set up. We get a look at him, unless it's a horrendous situation, we sign him in the summer. Great to hear he's desperate to be here, we want players like that at the club. Exciting and promising kid, and Arsenal have produced some absolute guns in recent years.

I would rather not sign an Arsenal player, they beat us in the FA cup final.

Might as well give us the title….

Looks like he has good technical ability. He’s only played youth football though so we’ll see how he handles the physicality of men’s football in the Championship. Hopefully he can make the step up.

On a slightly related note, I still don’t think Covil is ready for senior football. Every time he’s come on as a sub (which is every game this season so far, isn’t it?), he’s looked like a boy playing amongst men. Not doubting his talent but I don’t think it’s fair to chuck him in at the deep end like this. It’s not helping his development.

Agree on the Covil point. If he’s to progress in his ability he doesn’t want to be getting 15 minutes chasing shadows every week. Needs regular minutes playing with the ball at his feet.
