It actually won the speed record for a scooter that day. FACT.
You know what, because I got so wrapped up in the excitement of the two games, I hadn’t really considered it. On reflection, The jury is still out for me. The atmosphere has been another level so far, but there are so many variables to consider that it is difficult to judge whether it was due to or despite the move. Logically, there’s no way that splitting the noisiest stand into two can actually improve the noise level, so had we remained in the East stand, the atmosphere may well have been even louder. We’ll never know.
I do like standing behind the goal. I too was looking at the empty seats in E1-E3 (I think) and wondered why away fans can’t have those, thus giving us the whole of the North Stand. Presumably the design of the concourse?
I started a thread re the situation with the bars in the concourse in the North Stand, which at the first game was really poor. To be fair, they have realised there was a problem and hopefully have resolved it. In turn, I think the reduced queues seemed to help with the reported overcrowding there.
It is not great getting evicted. In Acun’s case, he’s not getting a lot wrong. If he gets us promotion, creates a Fenerbeche esq atmosphere and enables me to get my half time pint, then I am happy to take one for the team.

The atmosphere has been great at home but there needs to be more of an exploitation of the great Hull City songbook.
Seems to the same limited amount of songs getting aired continuously, when we have a rich back catalogue that can be dusted off and delved into.

Anyway, no I'm not accepting the seat move has worked, because I suspect the atmosphere would have been brilliant if we'd have stayed where we were anyway.
I still think its daft splitting up the main noisy groups, and we'll see it come back to bite us from time to time when away fans turn up in numbers and we're playing ****.
I still don't accept that they couldn't have been put somewhere else, and I don't believe that changes can't be made to the stadium to enable it either. I'd stick the away fans in Upper West at North end, in as small as space as possible...with no mirrors in the toilets and only Carling in their bars.
Can only barely hear East even though I know its loud from people in there.
Having said all that I'm still enjoying myself back in North. Obviously I'm not bothering to get to know anyone because I've no idea when we'll get moved for the 4th time, so it's not worth it...

I think the highlighted bits are fairly key, as perceptions vary based on location. Sadly, I think some that don't themselves get involved prefer people to be moved so that it enhances their personal matchday experience with no effort on their part. It leaves the singers being more like performing seals for happy clappers.
Bit harsh on Acun. At least seems a fairly animated and noisy clapper…
*actually I picture the crowd at the moment wanting to be more of a coliseum crowd to his emperor rather than seals to his ringmaster. This is down to the crowd by the way, not him IMHO.
