Who are you to say what's important to other people? It doesn't affect me personally but I can see why the block 1/2 stuff is important to those with seats there. It's not like we're actually going to get anything interesting about transfer business or anything. They're the pointless questions imo. But yeah no doubt we'll get the moving away fans one again lol. Although I'd be interested to know why we've increased the FA Cup allocation we give recently.
Well we know the away end can't be moved as the police say so. And that isn't particularly important TBH. ST holders can keep their seats in blocks 1 and 2 so the regular fans aren't affected. It's not the end of the world if you have to move a block or two, particularly if you don't go to every game, which non-ST holders obviously don't.
Some people might not have photo id and therefore now risk not being allowed to use the season ticket they've paid for. Or maybe people don't want to have to take their passport to a football match? I think it is important to ask questions on why fans in that area are being subjected to draconian rules which presumably aren't being applied to away fans. The id thing is pathetic in my view. Assumption that you might commit a criminal act just because you're going to a football match and sit in a certain part of the ground. As I said. What's important to each person is up to them and people shouldn't be judged on that when its a recent development that affects them directly.
I didn't mean to imply the stuff about blocks 1 and 2 was unimportant to the people who sit/stand there. I just said it's pointless to ask about it as they'll just get directed to the letter/email they received - they're not going to get any more information than they've already received. Questions I think are worth asking: To Ralph: How has the new coaching staff that have come in changed things on the training ground? Having been at Spurs on Saturday it seemed like the same old story from last season - we concede one and our heads drop. How close are some of the top talent in our academy to the first team? Particularly with 9 subs allowed on the bench. To Semmens: What are SR's long term aims for the club? It's encouraging to see them spending money on the squad but as fans, we don't know a huge amount about Solak so it would be interesting to hear what Semmens says.
I take your point but would argue that we're never going to get too much new information from these things anyway. I don't think either of your questions would produce any real insight either for example. It'll just be the same stuff we've heard before but re-hashed. Personally I think these things should be more about fans and their experiences rather than the actual first team but each to their own.
I think it is also partly a chance to get their concerns across to Ralph/board even if they dont have the perfect answer on the spot.
Becoming more impressed with Lavia by the day. I think for his overriding emotion after making his PL debut at 18 is one of disappointment at losing just shows how good his mentality is for an 18 year old. The bad news is he'll be off in a couple of seasons.
