No they didn’t. They were fortunate to take the points with a class Mitrovic header after we controlled the game start to finish.
That was probably because Bristol focussed all their efforts into running down the clock, throwing themselves to the floor and trying to cheat the ref by any means possible, instead of trying to play football.
That was the home game. Away, they went 2 up 1st half and we had to bring on Emmanuel at RM as Robinson was killing us down the left
We’ve played 3 games. 1st one we won, after a team “scored against us”. 2nd nobody scored, but we battled like **** despite being under the cosh. 3rd we folded after we scored against them. Stop talking bollocks for bollocks sake.
He's been called up to the u18s and u20s which is a massive achievement, but they are the non competitive age groups, so they don't play qualifiers or Euros. We select. who were think, are the best players in the competitive age groups, so the u17s, u19s & u21s. The u18s & u20s are made up of players they wish to monitor & keep within the England set up, but don't think are ready for the competitive age groups.
Just read Shotas interview where he talks about we're looking for 2-3 extra players. He then says we're looking in midfield, right back, left wing back and a central defender. That's clearly 4 positions we're looking at. I wonder then if we're still in for the striker at Brentford.. the Turkish kid.
Yeah last season doesn’t just get written off. It is only three games in, but this lack of creativity has been an ongoing problem for a lot longer than just these three games. We start well, we measure up the opponent, we have a lot of the ball, but then once teams score, we haven’t got much of a clue how to break them down once they start to defend in numbers. I’m sure it’ll come given the quality of these players, but it’s nevertheless a bit of a worry when we seem to be getting so few shots on target.
I can't wait for Norwich. I think we average about 1 shot on target per match. I expect Norwich to do a job on us. City 0 Norwich 2.
I say it as it is. I see very little change from last season. If you got promoted by passing it sideways between the back three we are nailed on. If anyone thinks Preston and Bradford were acceptable they are deluded.
You have to get shots on target to win a game. We were promised open attacking football. Sadly we are light years away. Three shots on target in two games is appalling, especially when Bradford are two leagues below us.
Clean sheet and a point away from home despite playing badly is usually accepted by most football fans
