Interesting though that Alex Neil only says 'I think'. Reads as if he is assuming that is the reason, as opposed to Broadhead has told him that is the case. He could be putting 2 and 2 together and assuming he is getting 4, and maybe he is right. It is plausible though that something else has changed Broadheads decision. I suggested earlier about the influence international managers can have on players in world cup years.
As for the belief in himself, attitude etc being an issue I just dont buy it for one minute. He was at the club last year, Alex Neil worked with him, as did the coaches and hierarchy. Plenty of time to get to know all about his character and attitude and self-belief. They clearly thought everything was good enough to pursue a perm deal all summer. Now it seems because he has chosen another club he doesnt have the right attitide or self-belief. Not for me I am afraid. We all wanted him here, in my case a lot, but just because he has turned us down doesnt mean the conspiracy theories, and suggestions about his mentality, are the way to go...
