Barcelona want to sell Umtiti.
I know, but let a man dream.

Isn't it Lawrie Mac's 2nd place finish.I think as a former Saints player, Chris Nicol had the club ethos. It was always a mystery to me that he was sacked. IIRC he still holds the record for our highest ever top division league finish.

Can't believe we let Shane go now, absolutely ridiculous decision!
At the end of last season I was in such despair that I wanted 90% of the squad gone. Che has done ok, some moments of magic but I wouldn't call him consistent. If he is to go then I hope we can get an experienced striker to replace him (I know, I know!). Silver lining; it may give Adam Armstrong more breathing space... Che and him had a pretty similar first season for us if I recall correctly.
If he goes and we don't bring anyone else in then I fully appreciate the meltdown that will follow on here...
However, I don't know why, but I'm quietly optimistic about this season. We did need a shake up, and that's exactly what we've got.
Either way, it's not the end of the world... Enjoy life.
Yeah, Diop's worse than Bednarek.Diop? No thanks. Coady? Yes but only in a three. Would've brought us invaluable leadership, at least.
Swap for Bednarek,Salisu, and Stephens maybe…..if that doesn’t work throw in ValeryBarcelona want to sell Umtiti.

Do they actually need one? If they do my optimistic Saints mood might change sooner than later!Maybe the Spurs result was a blessing in disguise. It will hopefully give Ralph and the squad a big kick up the arse.
Exactly the point I made to a mate the other day. Makes no sense, however frustrating it may become, to make such a move beforehand.Well he's not is he. If he was going to be sacked, it would have happened at the end of last season. I think he's got until the World Cup break to improve things on the pitch and that's the right thing to do IMO. No sense in sacking him now.
Thanks for the clarification !Yes and Ronald Koeman's team finished 6th which also beat Nicholl's 7th but he was an underrated Saints manager who had the misfortune of following the club's most successful manager ever.

Not sure they will get £25-£30m for him thougWest Ham also want to get rid of Benrahma apparently. Wonder if a PL team will go in for him. Seems like a Forest/Fulham signing.
Worry not, fellow Saints fans. Did I not tell you that the La Liga team most local to me is FC Elche?BREAKING NEWS!!!!!! 05.00
St Badger is at Bournemouth International Airport en route to Spain with a view to securing a permanent transfer.
Talks are ongoing and could take a few more weeks to complete, but will hopefully be concluded before the transfer window slams shut.
Also, hopefully, it won’t come down to a fitness test.

We’re working on a swap deal, which would see me stay over here and one Guido Marcelo Carrillo move the opposite way.
You’re welcome.![]()

Say what you like about Nicholl, but he managed to crow bar Rideout, Rod Wallace, Matt and Shearer in the team that destroyed then champions Liverpool. For that alone he has my respect. Remember what came and afterwardsYou don’t remember lovely Chris Nicol then?
