I must have watched a different match I thought the team was excellent.

It's not easy breaking down a side that's parked the bus and looking to counter.

The fact that our attackers could only score one goal against a **** side like Forest is worrying.

I know it may be a knee jerk reaction but all I'm saying is we really do need another attacking player.

I think Wilson was poor today, but in fairness I thought their number 19 had a hell of a game, and fair play to the kid.

@Geordieginola What did I say to you 10 seconds before the we scored? <laugh>
The second is coming. And it did. But was it a Diame finish where Wilson knew **** all about it.

Or did he improvise. Let’s see on the highlights.

Have to say though as far as first games of the season are concerned I can’t remember the last time we won let alone won comfortably.

Tash seems to be wanting to justify his "we ain't gonna finish in the top 7" campaign by desperately searching for negatives.

We were great. End of.

We were not GREAT. We dominated a ****ing terrible Forest side who set up to get a draw immediately. They had nothing.

Forest are probably going to be the ****test side we'll ever face, and we likely just had the easiest game of our season so far.

The issue is the fact that he struggle to really find that cutting edge. I'm concerned with the fact that it took a Schar screamer to open the scoring.

Imagine if they sign Maddison and a striker we'll be looking strong on the bench too

Showing the potential everyone saw in him when we got our hands on him.

I think under Howe and the ownership, he'll prosper.

Can't recall him putting a foot wrong today in fact the 3 cms looked great... No way I'd change that 3 to include Longstaff

LOL I'm happy we won. Our defence was solid, our midfield bossed it, but our attackers lack a finishing touch, and that's the point.

I'm not going to withhold my view on the game.

Our attackers are very hit and miss. Wilson with injuries, ASM and Almiron are inconsistent with their final balls.

Think what you like, it's a concern.

We played this exact same way for years. Can't criticise a newly promoted team for trying to stink the place out. Was obvious what the game plan was from them choosing to defend the Gallowgate first half.

On a side note. Thought the ginger lad playing number 8 for them had a decent enough game at disrupting play <laugh>

Yeah well be concerned, say we're ****, say we won't get into the top 10... whatever.

Everyone else saw a great performance and is looking forward to this season.

I'd rather we bin off any interest in Maddison and go balls deep and get another striker.

Maddison for me then loan a striker.. Wilson is a top striker we just need a young prospect to back him up..

Either way I think this newcastle team looks very good..... The bench looked weak though, so come Sept 1st it'll be looking sweet imo.
