£18m for a lad with 6 first team appearances, I know the lad has massive potential but Jesus ChristSouthampton have just had an £18m offer turned down for him. Doubt he’ll be getting sent here.

I disagree with this, I think we can give up games to make sure we get the right players in.
I'd far rather we got the very best we can on 31st August, even if it's to the detriment of the first month of the season's results, than I would see us giving up and going for secondary targets just so they're in for next Sunday.
It's one month's sacrifice for potentially three or four years' benefit and a subsequent windfall. It's a long season and there's no need to forsake our strategy for a bit of short termism!
That's my one reservation on what I said, we lose that early momentum, find ourselves flailing and with a crowd base on edge then it suddenly becomes harder to attract those targets you were holding out for.Balancing act mate but momentum is key. 1 month includes a lot of games. If it's doom and gloom and we lose the positivity early, it can set the stall out for the season.
Man City rate this lad massively, and rightly so. I dont see them selling him at all. The decision is whether he gets game time at City, which he might with 5 subs, or whether they let him have a seasom away somewhere. I would suggest if it is a loan we would be in with a good shout because of the way we play, which is similar to theirs across all levels. Marwood would be a key player. If he we were to land here, he would be pushing for Stewarts place quickly.I assume he would be going to a premier league club on loan as they are knocking back big offers to sell to Premier league clubs (according to papers)
Do u reckon one of the deals will be done this week?Balancing act mate but momentum is key. 1 month includes a lot of games. If it's doom and gloom and we lose the positivity early, it can set the stall out for the season.

I’m thinking Broadhead early in the week followed by a keeper ?Yeah.

It doesn't necessarily set out the stall for the season, you could lose to be first 4 games and still turn your form around. But I ideally we want the players in asapBalancing act mate but momentum is key. 1 month includes a lot of games. I reckon he’ll go to ‘Boro. If this article is correct and he makes his decision on game time, I think it would rule us out of signing him

If people know Neil, he hates losing. We haven't seen much of it in our run in last season. Also, he doesn't like maybes. This answer tonight was a pissed off, no, can not be arsed to talk about it.
We are very close to 2 signings.
Just been reading about Man City's Liam Delap being available for a loan. Now that would get me excited if we got him.
Good post.
We do need to complete the deals now though. We don't want to be pissing away games with a squad that's light in key areas.
You’re right about City’s thoughts on Delap, they’ve just declined a very good offer from Southampton and clearly see him one for the future. He’s really liked by us fans as well and we want to see more of him.Man City rate this lad massively, and rightly so. I dont see them selling him at all.
