We have this thread. If there's a hint of a deal coming together it can be reopened quickly. But it seems a long way off if it happens at all.
In fairness to Tom, it was my insane superstition coming out that suggested 'pausing' the thread. It just felt way too early, and could easily have become a curse on the power of the Saint X threads.
It'd be interesting to see what the % rate of the threads actually end up signing. I reckon there's a fair few more failures than others think but perhaps not recently. I seem to recall I did one for Theo before he joined Everton.
It's a tough enough gig trying to keep on top of countering the Tom-Curse, let alone bringing new ones into the equation.
When has a saint thread relied on a bid being accepted? Remember the good old days of the saint Gaston hundreds of pages. Bid was only accepted at the end. It was glorious.
