If we are playing 343 predominately this season, and if Nwakaeme does come in, we might see him playing on the left of the front 3 with Sinik playing on the left of the 4. Sinik's defensive stats were quite impressive, so maybe he and Fleming, if Elder does leave, might be the 2 for that position?
I suspect most of the forwards we are bringing in will not be used to the intensity of the Championship. So Shota will have the luxury of rotating quality with quality. Although some on here would still prefer us to be rotating Eaves and Magennis by the sounds of it!
I hope Fleming keeps his place. I think he’s very underrated and is a consistent performer. A bit like Andy Dawson was. The signings we are making look like quality footballers, but will they have the same desire and work-rate as Lewis-Potter, Honeyman, Smallwood? That’s my worry.
I was just about to say the same thing! “Although some on here would still prefer us to be rotating Eaves and Magennis by the sounds of it!” Said no one EVER!
Unfortunately many have become accustomed to mediocrity and find themselves out their comfort zone with the calibre of players we are now bringing in.
Exactly this… the same who would prefer us not to have left boothferry park and when some time has passed will be romanticising the allam era
Is it even possible to romanticise the Allam era? We could have had great success but after what they did, the feeling would never have come close to what was before, and now after.
Don’t quite understand why some fans seem so perturbed or indeed worried about the coming season? We’ve finally escaped from the clutches of owners who predominantly where hated around these parts and inherited new owners full of passion enthusiasm an new ideas. Without getting carried away or ignoring the fact we are still work in progress I saw enough signs of encouragement to look forward to the new season and whilst we did get a football lesson from a Prem side that cost a fortune we won’t come up against that kind of quality very often this season. Our squad is taking shape nicely and apparently the big Turk hasn’t finished yet bringing in more players to strengthen and bolster our squad ever further . Point I am trying to make here is without proper investment we as a club under the old regime we’re literally condemned to go going back and forth between two divisions with fans screaming for change and the apathy level on the terraces at an all time low. It’s early doors still and whilst anything could yet happen yet I think it’s high time some supporters get fully onboard now give the manager and new owners a chance to at least try and get the club back where it should be and in doing so drop the pessimistic outlook you portray. Just saying… UTT.
Well said. And for me that "getting fully onboard now" includes Acun's choice of manager and supporting staff. Just have a little patience. #UTT
For the benefit of his career, I do think he needs to be playing in his referred position. While playing elsewhere occasionally will probably help his career, he’s stil a young un who’s career will only benefit from gaining experience as a centre back.
I don’t think there’s pessimism (or I haven’t seen this anywhere). I for one, am cautiously optimistic. In fact, I think we’ve got a great chance for promotion (particularly as we’re sneaking under the radar and are still way down in the odds, considering the recruitment). But as we all know, you’ve got to put in the graft in this league. Will we have enough of them? One thing I do know, the supporters will be the 12th man this season. That should help our home form!
Deadline day on Humberside: So Burnsey, 11 players in, seven of them forward players, some quality football being played, up near the top end of the league. Thoughts? “I still think they need another striker.” I’m struggling to recall a season following City when he hasn’t said that.

Can't wait to hear him and Swanny trying to pronounce the names of some of our new players
I understand some minor concerns here. After losing everything (including his family :s) 30 years ago, Acun never lost again. He succeeded in every job he entered. I have no idea what to do if he fails here, shockingly, because he hasn't seen it before. It's been climbing to the top for a quarter of a century and has been there for a while.
