Soon as I see any article is from The Mag, I just shut off.

I refuse to believe there is any other club out there that has a "fan magazine" that's sole mission is to say everything is constantly ****.

The Pope deal was also only £7m. Pretty good business.

We've just got to sit it out. Judgement is 1st September. We know they have money - did I read on here Michael Edwards, when he went to Liverpool, made his first mission to get rid of the "Liverpool tax", whereby teams would bump prices by 20% plus when they came calling. Expect most big clubs have the same - some will just pay it (Man U, Chelsea, City) but they can because of all the commercial revenue. We've got nothing coming in, twice the inspection on FFP rules so need to set the stall out hard this window by saying we will not be held to ransom because of PIF.

For us we just need patience. We will, eventually, end up with 2 or 3 more signings before the window's done. There's interesting moves happening which may spark something - I mentioned Lille buying a striker from PSV, may free up David. Napoli have just bough Simeone from Hellas - does that free up Osimhen?

Point is, we're backed as much as we need to, we should really never be in a relegation fight again and the future will be bright. It may just take a bit longer than we wanted.

Pretty much every club pay in instalments. Just helps everyone in that allows to spend more and comply with ffp.

We did similar when swing coutinho. Barca still owe about £30m of that fee, but we passed on that debt to a 3rd party so got a slightly reduced figure up front and then the 3rd party get the £30m from Barca.

Was more than 7m. 7m is just what was owed in the next 3 instalments but it doesn’t show the initial up front figure you paid.

I see. I can see how this works in the commercial sense. I work I finance so debt financing is very common.

But when your trying to send a statement to world football that we are here and we are going to totally and utterly destroy the dirty six monopoly (your club included) it hardly sends the signal of domination by paying a 10m fee in instalments.

Or does this mean that the dirty six claim that our owners sportswashing domination blockage and colluding with the PL was a load of bollocks and that the collusion was to stop us from even competing.

    I drop my mic.

They haven't organised the sponsorship yet. Jesus christ is 5 to 10 years 10 months to Edwards.

If you look at it long enough it stops and then goes backwards.
