Story doing the rounds from Greame Bailey that NUFC have made the school girl number 1 striker target and are just biding our time waiting for the price to fall to £35m
Wood, 2 goals in 17 and some pretty dire performances. Almiron 1 goal and no assists in about 82 matches. We have had a decade or so of managers bemoaning a lack of creativity, a lack of goals, and you're happy we've got these two in or around the 1st XI? Nobody on here can say they're not disappointed so far with the business or lack thereof. Nobody on here can hand on heart say this is where they thought we'd be with transfers with 2 weeks til the start of the season. Like I say, it'll probably work out ok by the end of the window, but I'm surely allowed to express disappointment right now based on the facts.
Again another plodder. I'm really not a fan of DCL. £35m for that Lingard-esque clown or £30m for Jonathan David.
I can see why frustrations are being shown, however at this stage of the window we have 3 new permanent players in and have done well to move several player who are surplus to requirements off the books. At least we moved fast to bring in 3 players early. With the 3 forward players fit at this point in time there is no need to rush the signings, we've allowed ourselves time to see how other clubs transfers effect the market place, with the possibility of better players becoming available. I can still see us bringing in between 3 and 6 new players, 3 being tried and tested and 3 being youngsters to push for a spot.
Apparently Andrea Belotti's agent has been in touch with us. He ran down his contract at Torino so is available on a free. Always thought he looks pretty decent, very tenacious player. Seems a decent option to me in a position we really need someone else in.
For free of course its a no brainer. Whoever is in charge of our transfers, they need to get a move on.
Would take him like. He’s a solid player at the right age. It’s a no brainer really and could get him for similar wages for Wood. P.S Did you know Wood earns 100k a week.
You'll never let that one go. Anyways I'd love him at the Toon, fingers on buzzers, when's the last time we had an Italian International if ever?
I actually applaud the owners for how they’re handling transfers so far. Not giving in to ridiculous transfer fees, wages & agent fees is a good thing in the long term, it sets a precedent that we won’t be ****ed with when it comes to handing over dough. People panicking over lack of transfers should remind themselves of where Everton ended up by spunking half a billion on ****e
