He's got a couple of years left so if it's like 15 million it's a good buy. I heard he doesn't want to move to England though..
It strikes me newcastle and Howe will avoid this type of player for a Chris Wood or a DCL at all costs. It's worked very well so far, but I do wonder whether a lack of magic here and there might create problems
Slow and steady is very much Howe's mantra. Which is exactly what the owners liked about him, a willingness to work with the current players and see improvements on the pitch through training. This has happened, we are so much better. As an interim manager before we try and become a top side hes absolutely perfect tbh.
They'll probably starting adding the bells and whistles this time next year. I mean if you look at the sqaud there's very little to build from up top. The back line, gk positions and perhaps cm have decent foundations.
Wood - Zapata over him all day. He can do a lot of the big man stuff and still carry significant other threat. I think we'd have had him over Wood in Jan, if it was in any way possible. DCL - I can see why Eddie might want to cajole the skirt wearing, shirt lifting, toenail painting oddball into a top Toon player, if he could stay injury free. Good player, but I'll never be onside with a man dressing like that.
Wait. Hold the door. https://www.hammers.news/transfer-n...teds-deal-to-sign-armando-broja-from-chelsea/
Sadly (or maybe not) I'll be unavailable due to being on the lash elsewhere for my 40th... In my skirt... with my, erm, handbag!
Broja was one of the striker links I thought had a chance and he fits the criteria newcastle seen to want. We'll see... If its a loan and then they bring in a bit of real quality that's a good window.
