I don’t know if I suggested it on here or Facebook, but a couple of weeks ago I said that Johnson should be made to tour every town centre and the public should be able to walk by him, giving him a slap as they pass him, but I think horse whipping would be more fitting, as well as more entertaining.
Tbh I prefer the recently adopted, harmless but symbolically effective trend of milk-shaking these people. Makes you feel proud to be British...

It's hardly surprising that people are afraid to come forward or speak about this for fear of being cancelled, lose their livelihood, accused of transphobia, called TERFs or in countries such as Canada, Norway and Brazil -sent to prison.
(I'll refer to the father as HO even though US journalists have named 'the man who cannot be named' )
In 2019, HO was opposed to his 14 year old child undergoing gender affirmative medical procedures, he saw this as saving his child from 'irreversible harm'. In the Canadian court, HO was given six months in a high security prison and fined for breaking a gagging order by calling his female born child 'his daughter ' and for using the wrong pronouns. In sentencing HO, Judge Tammen’s assertion was that,
“Detention is necessary to maintain public confidence in the administration of justice.”
Meaning what? That everything HO said was a lie? Or that HO's brazen truth-telling must be stopped before everybody in Canada realizes that the British Columbia courts are not, in fact, administering justice? As HO said, "They've created a delusion, and they're forcing parents to live in this delusion" Effectively, the Canadian state is imposing draconian constraints on free expression to conceal the full horror of what it is doing to a generation of children
In Norway, Christina Ellison is facing a prison sentence of up to 3 years for stating that 'Men can neither be lesbians nor mothers'.
In Brazil, Isabela Cêpa is being threatened with up to 25 years in prison after being charged with 5 counts of a hate-based crime for calling a trans-identified male politician a “man.”
In the UK, ordinary woman like me are grateful for the resilience of Maya Forstater who, in 2019, lost her job after she publicly advocated against changes to the UK’s Gender Recognition Act 2004; in a series of tweets, she stated:
" A person cannot change their biological sex"
Maya took her case to court to establish the law and then a tribunal against her employer. She won on the grounds of two counts of discrimination and one count of victimisation. Maya stated people didn’t avoid these debates because they are difficult in themselves but because they have, “rationally made the decision not to talk about these things – they’ve seen what happens when you do, and they have concluded that it is more than their job is worth”.
Stephanie Davis Arie is another woman who has spoken out since 2015. Her message is very simple:
'No child is born in the wrong body'
She advocates for evidenced-based healthcare for children and young people suffering gender dysphoria and for factual, science-based teaching in schools. Presently there is no reliable scientific basis for the diagnosis of transgender, nor long-term research on the outcome of treatments. Treatments for under 18 gender dysphoric children and adolescents remain largely experimental. There are a large number of unanswered questions that include the age at start, reversibility; adverse events, long term effects on mental health, quality of life, bone mineral density, osteoporosis in later life and cognition.
What is known is that most young people who take puberty blocker then go on to sex hormone treatment. A growing number of young women will go further and have irreversible surgical intervention -removal of healthy breasts (Top surgery), hysterectomy and phalloplasty.
The pioneering ‘gender affirming’ surgeons in the US have spoken out about the risks of putting children onto puberty blockers. Marci Bowers, who transitioned at the age of 38, admits that children who undergo transition before puberty will never have adult sexual function or experience orgasm.
So your argument that is a right-wing created panic of the moment to somehow distract us all from the economy is absurd. Antonia Louise Antoniazz (Labour) MP, Joanna Cherry QC (SNP) MP, Rosie Duffield (Labour) MP and Natalie Bird (Lib Dem council candidate)- all women, all unafraid to face the consequences of speaking up.
You may call ordinary women like me neo-nazi, transphobic TERFs and tell us that we should all just Be Kind and just Keep Quiet. But we're not going anywhere, not while there are people like you who 'believe' that how you identify automatically confers all the entitlements of that sex.
Your belief, not only erodes the rights of women to keep men in bad wigs out single sex spaces, you are in fact a cheer-leader for the pharmaceutical companies and the unscrupulous surgeons who exploit that belief. You are affirming a generation of young people, caught up in a social contagion, to a lifetime of medication and unnecessary, irreversible and damaging surgery.

It's not quite true though. It looks true but isn't. It appears (I may be wrong) that he was jailed for contempt of court for talking in public about the case. The gagging order was intended to prevent identification of the child. It was that, not referring to the child as "she" for which he was jailed.

I'll stress that it was hard to find a source that stuck to the facts. The first bundle of search results all seems to cross refer to one another so I can see why you might have misunderstood what happened. It's as though there's a concerted campaign to spin the news in a particular way such that people will become incensed. "Jailed for calling child 'she'" is so much more emotive than "Jailed for talking in public about a case in which a child's anonymity was the subject of a court order"
I haven't bothered to search for the others because life's too short but given the slant on the truth in the first example, I'm not taking them as gospel.

The fact you are overlooking is that OH wanted to prevent his 14 year-old daughter from taking puberty blockers.
I now realise you can only find information on the internet when it suits you, so here is a link to help you understand a little bit more about puberty blockers and why the NHS has changed it's guidance to state ' “Little is known about the long-term side effects of hormone or puberty blockers in children with gender dysphoria".

Thanks Vin I was about to post something similar. A lot spin in the headline as there is in many, certainly not letting the truth get in the way of a good story.
Bit late for me at the age of 72.
I don't have enough knowledge on the subject to form an opinion. I see the misleading headlines and don't trust the source(s) which seem to me to be tube thumping right wing political religious sites sensationalising individual cases which need to be handled with care and sensitivity.
By the way where on here were you called a neo nazi? People have disagreed with you but I don't recall seeing that label.
You've ignored totally and utterly the meat of my point. You stated categorically that OH had been jailed for misgendering. He hadn't. Are you willing to admit that you were repeating falsehoods?
Apologies for not crosschecking every single morsel of those pieces for similar errors but then you didn't check what you'd read even on your lead example, did you? You just posted lies that someone else wrote.
This is exactly what I'm trying to get you to see. Someone has manipulated your beliefs about what's true and encouraged you to spread falsehoods. This is the MO of people trying to raise emotional responses. Lie and make people angry. Angry enough to pass on the lies.

I posted a link to a report on Puberty Blockers which would explain the 'irreparable damage' concerns of the Canadian father for his daughter. The report is based on what scientific research is currently available carried out by GIDS, the NHS commissioned Cass Review, the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), Dr Polly Carmichael, lead consultant clinical psychologist at Tavistock, Professor Carl Heneghan and Dr Michael Biggs.

'neo-nazi transphobic Terf' was not directed at me by anyone on here. This is actually one of the less offensive terms used to shut down debate and discussion about the subject that women who speak up, receive on social media. On reflection, 'You may call me...' was perhaps not the best way to start the sentence.
