Not going to happen this window unfortunately. Dortmund not selling after losing one of their brightest already this Summer. Looks like we will have a fight to get him next Summer, will cost a lot
Why would he regret leaving us. He could stay his whole career and he’ll only ever be second choice behind TAA.
cos he'll be stat with his championship medal, 6 game prem medal a dn couple of early rounds league cup medal to look back on whereas trent obviously will have multiples of every medal as klopp goes on to dominate england and europe. they ALL look back having left the biggest, craziest club on the planet and miss the adulation, atmosphere and even when we were not winning medals very very very few every won more elsewhere.
So he should stay and warm the bench for the whole of his career? He is a footballer. He's supposed to play football.
So you’re annoyed at him for celebrating winning a prem title and cups with little involvement. but at same time you think he shouldn’t leave to get first team football and should stay so that he can play a bit part in anymore wins? makes perfect sense
If you read any players who make a big step down like this they can say a lot of things but they all regret not making it at the big club. Look at zaha, do you think he regrets leaving man utd? He's tried his best get a move but he is stuck at palace with not much bar playing games and not getting relegated to shout about. theres plenty of examples of guys who've been let go or sold and very few that achieve the success after. Should he leave and play? Yes if he thinks he's going to play no games at all here. there ought to be plent of changes to get in 15-20 games this busy season. The issue is he's been on this "i'm off" stuff for 18months, well before he ever established himself really. He's had his loan at fulham and actually got 14 games in with 2 assists and 2 goals so thats not bad butWhat he actually needed to do is to be screaming in the bosses ears with his performances that trent can go play no 8. He hasn't done that nor ever got close to doing it has he? A massive preseason and then with 5 subs carry on into this season pushing like hell, thats not what he's tried to do. This is why we've bought Ramsay, we have known williams is going for that long period of time. The only thing to be said is Full back is a reasonably specialist position so he really has only RW or RB to aim for with us and well... so he's decided he's off before ever pushing trent like tsimikas is pushing robertson. The contrast to this is Conor coady, That lad never had a shot or ever even got close to our first team, he worked hard and got a loan to sheff utd in league 1 and did well. He was still never ever getting near out first team so he really had no option but to go to huddersfeld and work like a dog to get back up the divisions, he got his break with wolves and their system and had got to play for england out of it. Williams is not coady. He had a decent shot at a good amount of games and to push klopp's thinking a bit but he's decided trent and salah are too good and wanted to go so he's limited himself. IMO he'll regret not trying ESP when Ramsay is there with a prem medal round his neck come may
I have more respect for a player who is willing to take a step down to try and establish himself as a first choice player than one who is happy to receive medals for playing the occasional game .
Jurgen Klopp defends his midfield Jurgen Klopp doesn't understand where the calls for Liverpool to sign a new midfielder have come from as links to Jude Bellingham continue. “I don’t think something will happen in midfield, but you never know. If somebody comes to you and says ‘I want to go’… but nobody came to me yet."
But what about one that didn't try where he was and then made it clear he'd jump ship? A lot of players have to move to give themselves any shot. Coady. Some players need a loan to get a shot at their own club. Mount Some players see the trying on the wall after trying everything and have to move. Abraham Its the very rare few that make the break though early and drive on. TAA. TBH the point is he'll regret it. not respect.
please log in to view this image Liverpool snap up former WSL captain as 2nd summer signing Liverpool FC Women have confirmed the signing of Gilly Flaherty, their second arrival of the summer. The experienced defender joins the Reds after four years as captain of West Ham United Women up until her departure in May.
so if through playing regular PL football he does well at Forest and then gets a move to a big club here or abroad why would he regret it as a career stalled now often doesn't take off as it might have done .
He's playing his cards close to his chest on this one because he wouldn't have been in for Tchouameni otherwise.
