I’m getting excited for the start of the season, it’s nearly as exciting as the start of our first pl season. I know nothing about most of the players we’ve signed, which Kind if adds to it. After the last few years this is the polar opposite, big fees or not, big wages or not it’s going to be fun….hopefully

Feel there's more to come from Alfie Jones. Feel he could be a big part of things still going forward IF given the chance.
Happy to still have Baxter, Ingram & Cartwright here. And will be interesting to see how / if Emmanuel can develop further.
Quite like it that Coyle, Longman and Slater are here and to see where the latter 2 in particular can go with better players around them.
Wilks is a player too but feel he has to now grow up, work his rocks off and show what he can do (or be gone).

 

The perfect scenario for me is home grown players blended into a team capable of challenging for promotion. That looks like we are very close

 

I didn't include Slater, Ingram, Longmann, Cartwirght as they all have long term contracts left. I like Alfie Jones, but it's questionable if he'll start even this season, not to mention when his deal expires in 2 years.

Elder, Emmanuel, Wilks have a year left
Docherty, Jones, Coyle, Williams, Scott, Smith, KLP, Greaves have a year + option

I think KLP/Greaves as side we're in a good place regarding contract situations

 

If we are planning on being a possession side Jones will still be our right centre back in the back 3

 

I'd be happy with that, but if we've bid for Ndayishimiye I can see it being him. He played as the right CB in a back 3 a lot for Basaksehir

 

Is good as long as his head is in the right place.

 

It's not by his choice, the club just haven't had a bid they see as acceptable. If they did KLP would be gone. He's been pushing for a move for a while now
