I don't see them accepting it anyway so I reckon it's a non-starter. He was a small bright spark for them last season and he's come from the academy, if they let him go for such a low fee they're bigger mugs than I thought.

Spence looks a really decent prospect, proper athlete type of RWB who runs the line often, can't cross too well though at the moment but that can be coached (I hope). Was in the Championship TOTY for last season.

Forest did want to sign him permanently but I think a mixture of them not having the £15m-£20m to throw on a RWB and the fact he supposedly wants to work with Conte meant it wasn't a go-er for them.

It's the only deal Levy's working on too and it's taking the longest to get done... to the point where there's even rumours it may fall through, couldn't make it up. Paratici will be wrapping up his 5th signing in the next couple of days, Levy can't even get one over the line and he supposedly knows the agent, hence why he's the one doing this deal <doh>

I can picture Levy

£15m is a lot of money for a young boy who may not progress, i will give you £8m with a few add ons what do you say? yes?

Gibson could just say to him you paid £55m for a fat, lazy **** in 2019 so there's no excuses... and he'd be right.

Not saying I think we should be held to ransom but assuming Boro are asking for a rumoured £15m plus some add-ons for what looks like a very good RWB in the making, it should be a pretty straight forward deal to get done.

He weren't too shabby for a couple seasons with us, became a cult hero, definitely overspent but far from any of the worst deals we've done.

Never liked him that much personally. Only turned up when he knew France were watching for me, had bags and bags of potential but mostly just couldn't be ****ed to turn up.

If there’s one thing he never lacked at Spurs it was work rate. Would run himself into the ground for us and I think that’s why fans respected him.

Yeah that transfer comitee Fsg had for the 1st few years has a lot to answer for I can't lie<laugh>

Personally I found the Benteke deal as more of a blow. But we got pretty much all our doe back for that at least, but that was never going to work, Carroll if he wasn't such a gazza/george best wannabee (and I don't mean his football) could have made something of himself.

Does he even play football anymore? <laugh>
