Acun seems optimistic but a bit eccentric. Nowt wrong with that and I like his enthusiasm and attitude but Kesler seems to be the more level-headed and realistic of the pair. We’re blessed with both tbh. There’s probably a middle-ground between what Acun wants and what’s realistic.
It's absolutely crazy that a player like Muriqi wants to come and play for us. Our success with foreign signings seems to be much better than the domestic ones
The problem I have, & I’m sure others do too, the players always say they’re interested, giving good signs, but behind the scenes, they’re telling their agents what they really want. It’s no different to when they join a club & give the interviews saying it’s a dream move for them & then it’s all badge kissing until their contracts up!
Clubs do similar too. Truth is all parties have first, second third preferences etc and play one off the other to get the best deal. Tan alluded to it himself whilst discussing offers when he talked about 'establishing market value'.
