    Ramsey <cheers>

Its like dominoes. Ramsey waiting on Bale to sign, Bale was waiting on Ralls.<laugh>

Was that before or after we stopped for a piss in the bushes because one of us was getting desperate?

As Shaggy said, "It wasn't me!!!"

    Tenko camp commandant maybe?

I think it was when we saw Dave Jones pulling into the services.

Whatever trio Morison selects, it couldn’t be any less effective than the terrible combo of Pack, Bacuna & Vaulks<whistle>

Above I mentioned the central midfield options for next season but forgot about Eli King; whom of course created our winning goal at snowy Derby last time out. Whether he’ll break through and be a regular is questionable but he is an option.

Another youngster. Unless Morrison will be sticking about, Id rather see some experience in there.
It seems a position that is getting very conjested.
Strange to bring in a youngster when a promising youngster of our own has been shipped out.
A change of tack by Morison that confuses me slightly.

He was never quite up to it. Lack of pace and/or positional sense. Has done well in Scotland, at Oxford and with N. Ireland so more suited to a level lower than Championship.

    Good luck to him.

As mentioned above, we really do need an experienced reliable cb to marshall the young guns. I don't think Nelson is up to that and, being honest, even if Morro gets fit I can't see him playing more than a bit part.

We are clearly looking to play a pressing, fast moving game which Morro is unlikely to be up to.

Keep him as a defence coach maybe, but shouldn't Hudson be doing that?

The article suggests he is more of a playmaker, an area where we lack someone other than Colwill.

    Could be useful.

Just thinking about the CB situation.
If we want some experience in there, how about big Sol for a season?

I think he'd find it difficult returning after his critical public statements about the club over the way he was released last time.

Having said that, we need some experience in the heart of the defence, but just wonder where the experience/past it line should be drawn.

Still gutted that we let him go in the first place. Was it Mick in charge at the time? Whoever it was, they didn't put up a fight to keep him. We'd have had a couple of seasons out of him and what a defensive coach he'd have made.
But that was when we had no mid/long term plans. As Sparkey suggests, it's probably too late now for a number of reasons. A real shame.

He's a big man and I'm sure he'd say the right things.

My worry with a new squad, especially with a lot of youngsters, is the leadership. Its why at the end of the season and the proposed clear out I said we needed experience at GK, CB, CM and up front, to hold the team together and talk the new players through the difficult times. And there are always plenty of those in a championship season.
And that leadership is vital in the first couple of months of a season. Get off to a bad start and confidence can drain from youngsters and the season is gone.
Often, a player is worth more than his pace or his skills, the top 3 inches are vital. You can afford to 'carry' a player physically just for his nous and leadership.
Might only need it for half a season while the team gains experience of playing together.

We currently have Ralls in the middle of the park who will have to hold it all together.

You wonder how many of our 'failed' players might have thrived in our brave new world?

Agree with and applaud all that you said. However, and while I know he's a big man, if he came back now there wouldn't be an awful lot of future for him now that Hudson hold the position that he would have naturally fallen into. That said, if he was happy to come back I'd be all for it. He and the club went through so much together and it's such a shame it ended in the way that it did.
