Well if the story about Spezia is true, we can't compete with clubs in Serie A, no matter how much we offer.
Also, looks like Wilks to Sheffield Wednesday is true, with Smith also going there. Wilks going for £200,000 according to their local press, must be happy just to get him off the wage bill.

I don't see anything to worry about. People get disappointed about things that weren't even happening, that's the end result but twas ever thus. Journalists will always report what they hear because they want the clicks and the views, they don't care if they're right because it's just "what they're told". You'll notice the best ones are the ones that stay quiet most of the time.
We see other clubs doing business and question why we aren't doing anything, but we're working on some pretty impressive transfers compared to what we've been used to, some of the players we're targeting/have tried for are PL quality and it doesn't happen overnight. The transfer window has only been open two weeks and some are acting like it shuts on Monday.
Out of 24 clubs, only 10 have announced signings so far, I'd be more worried if the season kicked off next week, but it doesn't so I'm not.
Fishing in bigger ponds means fishing with bigger teams. HT summed it up perfectly. It’s alright trying for these players but the likelihood of them coming in on a sustainable level is low. I’m glad to see them targeting players like Figureido too who’ve done it at this level for a prolonged period.

I don't think people realised how good a signing Haji would've been. He's 6ft 4, strong and extremely quick. That's not a skillset you can find too easily. But after his breakout spell it's always going to be really tough for us to get him. Seems a similar situation with Pesic, these are probably PL level players we're trying to get despite finishing 19th in the Championship. It can't be an easy gig no matter how much Acun is on the charm offensive
To get Haji, we probably had to get him 12 months ago directly from Denmark. We could've been the ones taking him on loan with the option
Interesting point. So what does he “know” abiut a player? Seen him regularly live at games? Watches him live in training?
No he googled him and makes up bullshit that he’s aware how good someone is
