Looking more grim by the day. Administrators trying to get a loan to pay June wages, start selling season tickets and sign players. They have 5 players under contract after end of this month. No bugger outside administrators seem to know what is going on. First time tonight I am seeing derby fans saying just liquidate them and let them start again - they have had enough. They are heading for a year in admin...
Would love to see Ashley come in, stabilise the club and get them back into the PL. It might show the rest of the world how deluded the mags are when they make claims about how they ‘suffered’ under the evil Ashley just because he wouldn’t blow his entire wealth to push them into the top half of the table.
Is there nothing all the clubs fans could do to stop Derby fans suffering and make the twat who got them in this mess suffer instead. What about a complete ban on attending games? Mind I haven’t a clue what needs doing really.
I dont know how to solve it mate. It is a result of chasing premier league riches. Until wealth is rebalanced others will do the same. Mind you I reckon there is a reason the EFL havent just kicked Derby out yet and that is they threw the book at them but afterwards changed the rules around covid losses and how they could be reported. I dont understand the detail but I have a suspicion there may be some challenges about that in the future.
Still can’t believe the administrators haven’t just given it to Ashley, this would’ve been over months ago.
Proof of funds - check EFL clearance - check Experience - check Anyone else would need two months to get to that stage.
Surprised at that. I saw that the local businesses fella had bought the ground and gave them a loan. Have they sacked him?
He did a great job mate. You watch him on the touchline and he is superb, great use of subs and spoke well. He will be a good coach for years to come. I think he might have been close with Kirchner and was keen on that deal, but to be honest I do think he has just called time on the administrators.
Never liked the man but admire what he's do e there. There was a time, recently, when Derby looked way ahead of us .... ... now they're absolutely imploding and there doesn't look to be a way out. They could be the first big club to go under. They don't even have a ground.
It's really horrific what's happening to them, it really feels like a perfect storm hitting them and you can't see a way out for them. I just think there but for the grace of God it could have been us.
looked as if rooney was all set to lead the charge back to the championship, i am thinking with the players being sold he has decided enough is enough..had he kept the majority of the team together i feel he may have given it a shot but the bloke has been fighting against the odds all season, never my most fave person but admire the job he has done there, be a big loss for them.
First place I seen us win away was pride park, always had a little soft spot for them, probably because they beat our 15 points record, be a shame to see anyone go under hope they manage to get a resolution soon
League 1 fans will be sorry to read this news. I know lots of Morecambe fans were looking forward to them coming next season, with Rooney being the big attraction.
