Wimbledon went down didn’t they? The player may end up forcing a move can’t imagine he wants to play that level
I can see Winchester going if we sign a right back, I like him but don’t see him playing much in midfield, and maybes wright if he gets a good offer from abroad other than that I think we’re fairly solid and won’t lose much (unless better is coming in)
Possibly. Hopefully to a L1 side going for promotion, if we decide that’s the best way for either of them next season…
Bizarre is the correct word mate. This seems entirely unbelievable to me. Not so much the Rudoni link, although I dont see a need for him at all, but the Dan Neil loaned to wimbledon bit. For one Dan Neil surely would just say no thanks. It would mean Alex Neil cant spot a player, which isnt the case. It would also mean a player supposedly worth £10m in Burnleys eyes is now needing league 2 experience. A forest fan told me the other day they are looking at Dan Neil, whether true or not I have no idea at all. As for Rudoni he seems to play behind a striker best, but can play wide. Not sure we need another one in there when we have Pritchard and Embleton who I would think are ahead of him. People know my thoughts on Dan Neil. I would hate to see him leave as he is the most gifted player I have seen from our academy for years. I have noted he has been on the weights this summer. My theory is Alex wants him in a middle 3 where he can dictate play, but needs him to be stronger in and out of possession.
Can see us being in for Rudoni but can’t imagine that Dan Neil would even answer the phone about a move to anything below Championship level.
Mate just posted this : Just seen and couldn't help but overhear one of the most unprofessional things ever. A football agent called Ben, or at least someone pretending to be, who is in partnership with someone called Gareth, has just spoken to a footballer that sounded like "Paco" to tell him SAFC want to sign him and the signing on fee will be £45k and if he signs it he'll be off to Portugal for pre-season training. Surely walking around a hotel lobby in your flip flops is not the right place to have such a conversation in my humble opinion.
Could just be Jackson trying to be clever and trying to ransom Rudoni off by asking for a replacement on loan .... .... or it could just be agents starting to get excited about the transfer window.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paco_Alcácer He's a bit injury prone but on balance, I wouldn't be against it.
Speaking of Neil mind, wouldn't be shocked if he doesn't get much game time here under his namesake boss. Hope I'm massively wrong. Needs a big preseason from Dan either way.
Can see Jackson talking up the price of Rudoni no question. Not sure about Neil. Seems that the market is starting to warm up a bit so looking forward to seeing the moves we make. For the first time in a long time I trust us to get some good lads in so am happy to watch it all unfold mate.
