Someone at the club tells me we’ve signed Twat Bollocks

Anyone who can’t read this needs to know that they’ve been identified as a not606 security risk and their device will self destruct in one minute

I don’t think it will stop.

Well, it might if we go on a decent little run…

So it looks like it’s the two GKs and then Svanberg coming in at CM (big whiff of PEH about him by the way, can’t wait to be getting into fights about that one!)

So what’s next? We obviously have further need for at least one attacking player but a pair of 10s who can also operate as strikers wouldn’t go amiss in order to give us plenty of versatility and options in attacking areas. I think we’ll get a CB. I’d like to see if we could sell Bednarek and get two in but that’s more complex. What are we expecting for the rest of the summer?

Chris Richards at CB is the strongest link out there at the moment. Is apparently both footed and can cover both full back roles (how effectively in an attacking sense remains to be seen)

The other link was Lavia at CM who City only want to loan which I expect rules us out. But they didn’t want to sell Bazunu. Have the limits on how many outbound loans you can have come in yet ?

What isn’t clear is whether we are only after one of Svanburg or Lavia - as they seem very different types of players

I see Liverspuds have signed Ramsay from Aberdeen. Weren’t we sniffing around for him? Scottish young talent. Suppose you can argue we’re set at RB but always good to see that type of player getting a chance.

I’d expect he is the one they are definitely not selling - buy back or not . And we only get one loan from them. And…Leeds again! We have the same target list it seems

I’d expect there is a deal that could be done on Lavia due to the way their squad is structured and him having two years left. If they sign phillips he isn’t getting into that team for at least two years if not more. And I don’t think young players want to have half a dozen loans anymore

Delap has a longer contract but didn’t even really get minutes last year when they did t have a first choice striker. He will at least be behind Haaland and a False 9 Foden. And they would never play the two of them. He’s surely got to be pushing for something permanent?

But there just seems more scope for McAtee to get minutes. Lower risk position among other things

Hopefully some are friends with Bazunu!

I notice the chelsea links have gone quiet. I guess because of the change in owners there. Would really like Colwill but i would assume the links with Richards mean that is a non starter unless we are able to move two defenders on (one will be a challenge for enough unless one is Salisu)

It’s a weird choice given he is firmly behind the lord and saviour, best right back in the world ever, the almighty “Trent” (so iconic he only needs one name - like Madonna)

We've already got one RB called Ramsay who has been playing in Scotland anyway...

Manchester United defender Phil Jones, 30, is on a list of players interesting Leeds United, but the Whites could face competition from Southampton and Fulham for the Englishman. (Marca - in Spanish)

The Leeds and Southampton thing is really strange. Surely we can’t be in for all of the same players ?

Probably because we both need an experienced CB, and Phil can’t get a sniff at Utd.
I have slagged him off in the past, but he a is very experienced player and could bring valuable experience to our back line.
However, I think wages would be a stumbling block( unless we can get him on loan, with Utd paying some of his wage).

Both got managers that have worked in the red bull group. All the clubs share a distinct style of play so I suppose we have identified similar players because our managers our seeking players with particular attributes to fit their systems.

Press speculation tbh. Two clubs at risk of relegation, both need a bit of a revamp. Slam ‘em both in the same rumour.

    Below 11th, no change.
Finish 10th/11th the moans will begin about not being in the top half
Finish 8th/9th and the moans will begin about not qualifying for Europe
Finish in Europa League and we should have been in the Champions League
Finish 2nd and the usual suspects would complain about the missed opportunity and lack of ambition.

We've also been linked with Djeidi Gassama at PSG but Nice are also sniffing around. Lat year of contract coming up.
