Id be on the agnostic side of atheism.

Enough to promptly and cleary explain to holier than thou believers where to shove it should they need to be told, but also not self righteous enough to go on a constant crusade of explaining to believers why they are wrong and I am right.

However I stringly believe that religion has no real harm if kept to ones self, anyone can believe what they wish, however alot of the times it isnt kept to ones self. Religion should never be allowed to mix with politics. Religious beliefs and teachings should never be allowed to enter the political arena and have an effect on legislation.

Its suprising how much a part religion plays in politics etc even today

IMO most of those being abusive or trying to 'force' a view on here are the athiests. and even this thread (if you look at the OP) is less about answering the question and more about bringing it back to attacking religion

Not everyone mind, but you know who they are.

The problem I have with legislation etc (and yes it is based on my religious beliefs) is that its based on the viewpoint of one parties ideals often a few people and the rest are forced to endorse it

eg why cant a country ban homosexuality at the risk of having aid cut? because cameron says so?

If you believe your choice IS informed, more power to you as far as I am concerned

I just think that if say you hate the faith/belief you were born into for whatever reason, dont simply assume all others are the same

and if you are athiest be content with that. dont belittle others and ask questions regarding issues you dont have answers for. Its clear that some on here dont understand the intricacies of the science they try and throw at me. This is just defence for the sake of defence. you dont have to know quantum physics to be athiest

Ok, so those in Ethiopia who have starved to death did so because Allah had determined that those who made wealth did so with his blessing that they can do it whichever way they pleased? If Allah had predetermined that certain people achieve great wealth did he also predetermine that people will die in poverty? Or did he leave those people out when he made his decisions?

I have looked in to all the major religions and found them all to be horse ****. What is your problem with only.reading portions of a religious.price? Have you read any of them cover to cover? They are deliberately not intended to be read in such a manner as this highlights how much of them are lies.

eg did you know celibacy is NOT a must in catholicism

and how do you propose to have a 'faith' if you havent looked at what exists in as much detail as you can?
