No he failed.
The clubs aim was 17th and you were well aware that was the case and he finished 12th and 13th.
So I was right saying you can be **** and do a job.
No he failed.
I hate to say it and I absolutely hate the man but he achieved his agreed aims so he didn’t fail.No he failed.

The club maybe failed you?
Yawn.
You’re both wrong.
I think @Ben 10 was the only one who could see the potential.
Not in this case no.Do of a manager is given a target of 17th and comes 12th he hasn't achieved anything?
Not in this case no.
No, it’s actually an opinion as nobody but PIF know.I don’t know mate look at the squad we had under Rafa and the football was turgid.
Bruce did indeed wind me up and I couldn’t stand the guy.
But ultimately he kept us up and although I absolutely hate to say this without that we wouldn’t have PIF.
We can deny that if we want but that is the reality and in future years the statistic will always be that Bruce kept us up when we needed him to.
He was the only one who actually said about the potential.Erm look again. I liked his post (as did a couple of others)
So if a manager is given a target of 17th and comes 12th he hasn't done a job
He was indeed a horrible manager and his attitude left a lot to be desired. No, it’s actually an opinion as nobody but PIF know.
And in future years he will always be classed with Dinnis and Souness as one of the most inept managers we ever had. Steady Eddie proved the squad wasn’t any where near as bad as Bruce had them performing.
He was indeed a horrible manager and his attitude left a lot to be desired.
But his record reads two mid table finishes and no relegations.
But you are falling into the mistake CC makes namely judging a manager on just one factor. He was indeed a horrible manager and his attitude left a lot to be desired.

That’s like saying you are good at your job because you can add up even if you weren’t able to subtract, divide or multiply (apologies for the extremely over simplifying of your job).
It’s the whole picture that counts not just the bottom left hand corner.
The point raised was that you can be **** and do a job
The areas he failed in are a separate matte and they're keen to ignore the facts and move to another area of debate.( one not in dispute) he was **** and in the end it was a mess.
****ing hell Roy has someone bought you a dictionary for your birthday ?
No. His aim initially wasn’t seventeenth it was mid table. When we were performing badly he changed his aim to seventeenth. This is a fallacious comment. At no point have I done that or said anything close
The point of discussion is matter of fact
Steve bruces aim was 17th and you knew that.. He finished 12th and 13th.

Ashley’s aim was seventeenth. I would agree with that but not that initially it was Bruce’s aim.
