We just got back from 11 days in Kos with Easyjet holidays. Both flights on time. 2 hour Q at Manchester security on the way out. Think we were lucky.
Recently returned from Ibiza. Going out, we were sat in the Lounge at Leeds /Bradford having a beer for breakfast within half an hour of arriving at the airport. There were long queues, but oddly few had used the fast track. We also had a twilight check in for bags. Coming back was even quicker.
I’ve got family going out to Ibiza next week for a wedding. I think there will be some tears. Recommended hand luggage only. Not sure the bride will fall for that one.
Fast track was. Cancelled at Manchester…probably rightly so..the faces on those anticipating to use it was priceless. My family recently went to Dubai .Strapped the 5 year old in a buggy so they could use the family lane.It worked but the lad wasn’t happy.
Currently at Stansted, 12 mins to get through security, 30 mins queue to get into Wetherspoons.....it's heaving, seems everyone is giving themselves plenty of time
I was watching a live feed from LAX the other night on YouTube...An Emerities 747-300, full of passengers, was left on the tarmac for 60 mins in sweltering temperatures waiting for a gate. Its not just here where the punters are queuing.
Flight back from Berlin on Tuesday was cancelled 2 hours before it should take off. Having a bite to eat in the airport when the E mail came down. Talk about putting you off your food. Had to go on the EasyJet app to re arrange a flight home ourselves. Came home yesterday via Luton. Partner then had to get another train to Manchester to pick the car up. No rep in the airport to talk to. Local German girl doing her best. Hotel provided once I located already checked in luggage. Cost 60 euros in cabs so all in all trying to get 220 quid back from EasyJet.
Outside of the main resorts it’s like a third world country. Just be very careful and you’ll see next season.
When you drive from the airport to places like Sunny Beach or Nessebar you see some real poverty and then when you hit the resort you see where the money has been spent. It was a few years ago that we went and the taxi driver warned us that the mafia were in town for the weekend and to be careful only to find some of the bastards in our hotel all holstered up - not pleasant. I’m currently in costa Adeje, a world away from where you’re planning. I’m sure you’ll enjoy your trip, I do remember the beer being only 1Lev, very cheap. Enjoy.
If you have any problems a friend of mine, who lives in York, but is Bulgarian and has a place in Sunny Beach is there for the summer. Let me know and they can help you out.
