If I was sat in my seat with my 9 year old next to me and the people in front were standing up, stopping him from seeing, I would see if there were any seats nearby that were not a problem and if there were I would move. If as is usually the case no such seats were available, I would ask the people in front to sit down as my son couldn't see. If that was still not enough I would ask a steward to handle the situation. If I got any lip from anyone I would deal with the matter myself.
It's not rocket science, it's just a question of people not being selfish.
I can confirm that there are many tall people that watch the game from Walton Street Car Park.

So your saying that its just a coincidence that the most noisy part of the KC and the part that most people think creates the best atmsosphere is the part that stands up and sings the most. Before anyone says anything i have sat in every part of the KC and i can say that the west and south and south-east part of the stand hardly sing at all
What a moronic post. I pay to sit down pal, so what is the problem? I am one of those 'moaners' who tell people to sit down if they stand up in front of me. If they take no notice, I report them to a steward, simple. Rules and ground regulations state that persistent standing is not allowed in accordance with FA bye laws.
And there lies the problem, Strovolos, my point is that at times you just have to go with the flow. I take my 8 year old grandson to games and he cannot see even if he stands on the seat. When we move to make it easy he complains because he wants to be in the mix. ???
All standing sections stopped as many from going to matches as it encouraged. If the KC announced that the East stand was to become all standing the other stands would be packed out and the East stand would be half full.
Whilst we are at it, lets ban covered stands as well, football is after all an outdoor event.
The atmosphere at football matches is better when people stand, I don't think anyone can question that, other than those who've never been to a football match.
That doesn't mean that everyone at a game should stand, people should be free to sit or stand, it really shouldn't be that hard to sort.

love the ive paid for a seat argument, theres no fookin choice but to pay for a seat, its not like the others have paid for a terrace and wandered into the wrong part of the ground!! 
It takes a special kind of bell end to have a pop at another city fan because they want to sit down at an away game .
It takes a world class bell end to spend the first ten minutes shouting and chanting at a full section of fans who are sitting down .
Step forward the tit at Posh who did just that from the standing area . At one point he was looking directly at me telling me I could stick my seating area up my arse .
This was despite the fact I had my nine year old boy sat next to me .
Same clown was ejected when we scored for running on the pitch .
It's more an issue of respect and general decency than anything else .
Some fans turn into pricks , in fact they probably are pricks in any case , when they get into a football ground and forget how to speak to people in a civilised manner .

i never realised there was such a problem between the two factions. I cannot remember when i was 'forced' more than a couple of times to sit down at an away game, and i ve probably done more than 40 odd in the past two and a half seasons alone. I ve moved seats quite a few times i suppose but its never been a problem.
Hells bells, ive just realised how much money i ve spent on fuel and tickets alone in the past two and a half seasons. So, stuff all of you, I reckon i ve earned every right to stand on my head and fart loudly if i want. And £30 at Barnsley also means that if i go on Tuesday, I WILL stand.

i dont think its usually as much of a problem because theres usually loads of room, and people can easily move as you did yesterday mussie...i normally would have done the same, but on looking round i couldnt see a lot of spare room, and was probably just a bit lazy in the end, ...i arent really that arsed either way in all fairness, just the attitude of a few on this thread did my head in a bit, so stuck my colours to the always stand mast , just like at the games it is usually them who cause the trouble, dont think ive ever politely been asked to sit, its always some grumpy bar steward barking orders to sit down,....so it may sound childish, but they did start it

when i went to buy my tickets for Peterboro, i was told catagorically that the seating was sold out. It was therefore interesting to see about 50% empty seats when we got to the ground. Apparently they had moved to the atmospheric standing area behind the goal! Perhaps therein lies a tale
I have absolutely no objection to people behind me standing, ****ing or doing anything else because I generally go to watch the football. I do have an objection to some ignorant ****wit standing up in front of me, because I do not go to spend 90+ minutes looking at some inconsiderate idiot's arsehole. If people sit down usually everybody has a decent view. If people stand up the whole time lots of people do not get a good view. It's quite simple, really, and the fact that some brainless morons here don't get it simply illustrates why Hull's near the bottom of the education league.

I have taken youngsters to a match and had to explain to them why they have wasted their time trying to see through "adults" standing in front of them. Then standing myself and relaying what was happening. They never came again.

i dont feel qualified to comment as I never watch MOTD. However, I normally watch TFLS laid down in bed cos the biased scheduling means its shown in the middle of the night. Using your logic, i will be watching the Barnsley game laying across 5 seats and if someone wont move to accomodate me, they will have my a rse or my head in their lap. Oh and I shall be farting and belching throughout. May i use your logic as a reference for any complaints. OK?
